Loving this series so far. The Hyacinth book is my least favorite. Phoebe and Selina are awesome!

I am just recently discovering Bertrice Small over the last two years. What a phenomenal author. I see that this was written in 1978. I wish that I had known of her as a young lady. Such entertainment and wisdom of the world would have been so appreciated back then. I can’t even describe this book and the sequel!!

I’ve only recently discovered this author. Her Border Series has been phenomenal. This story is by far the most interesting and well written of all her books that I’ve listened to so far. I’m sure it will be a favorite. This narrator should have read all of the books in my opinion. Justine Eyre is okay, but her voice is high and breathy. This narrator has a perfect voice for stories revolving around Scotland. She did a great job.

I’m so shocked at Stacy Reid. This story is embarrassingly bad. I don’t like giving negative reviews, but this one really missed the mark.

Lovely story. Too much inner reflection and coverage of events that we are already aware have happened, and the “misunderstanding/omission of details” premise that grows tiring. I almost gave up several times, but I am glad that I stuck through until the end. It is a bit tame for my liking. Very appropriate for a teenager. Overall, a decent, sweet, innocent story.

I’m so happy to have found this one. It has everything. A great story. The characters are witty. The hero and heroine had both been through so much in their lives. They deserved their happy ending. The love scenes were so steamy yet tasteful. There was also interesting adventure involved. The author developed a superb story and I absolutely loved the narrator’s sultry voice. She pulled off the male and female characters’ voices well. This didn’t cost a credit. It’s included with membership. I’m grateful and have listened several times. You will enjoy it!

I’m still listening at this time. I’m enjoying it so much that I had to review early. Kate Reading is awesome, of course. The first book that I ever heard her narrate was “Lord of Scoundrels”, which is one of my absolute favorites that I’ve listened to many times over. These characters are super interesting and witty. The writing style is the EXACT same as Loretta Chase. Eerily so, that I’m wondering if Sherry Thomas is actually one of Ms. Chase’s pen names. I’m thinking Ms. Thomas HAS to be her. If not, she must be a fan of Loretta’s. I’m so happy that I decided to listen and that it was included in my membership. Thank you!!!

Great one from Stacy Reid as usual. This author deserves a better narrator. This one mispronounced so many words that I’m surprised the editors allowed it. Equipage, revel, and so many more. I couldn’t figure out what she was meaning until I rewound it a few times. Stacy has become one of my favorite authors and she deserves better than this. I’ll keep it because of the great characters.

Just Let It Go. Hold On To The Memories

Everyone should just hold on to the memories of the previous books. Just like the TV series fell off and lost my interest, so has this last book. DG is way too busy now and has disappointed us like GRRM did with Game of Thrones. There’s no way that she actually wrote this. She probably employed other writers and the editors did her a terrible injustice. Like others have mentioned, no one has kept record of what we already know from the previous books: Claire already knows very well that William Buccleigh Mackenzie is Roger’s great grandpa and almost got him hanged. Ian’s Mohawk name is “Wolf’s Brother” and not “He who walks with Wolves”, Ian’s son is Digger and Swiftest of Lizards, Rachel and Ian’s baby was born just a few days before Bree and Roger returned to the ridge, and the very next day when Bree meets Rachel…he’s about 4 months old, gurgling and thumb sucking. Way too much time spent on Frances and other people that we could care less about, plus the introduction of NEW people that we could care less about. Why not spend time on Denny, Dottie, and other people we know and love? The “Blue Light” healing storyline went absolutely nowhere. Why the hell bring Ulysses/Joseph back in to the story? For what? UGH!! Who wrote this? I’ll just keep the memories of the old books. SO DISAPPOINTED. It was good until TV and more money got involved
