An honest and well spoken man reflects on an extraordinary career. When Comey speaks openly he reminds me of what hard and principled work looks like in action. I needed this look behind the curtain in this extraordinarily sad period of American history and have gained hope for America. A Higher Loyalty is a great reminder that America still has people willing to stand up for dignity and principles despite the sickness that has infected the highest office in the land. Comey as the reader adds much to the memoir as his voice reinforces his genuine tone and adds much to set the scene for his play by play accounts.

I would have preferred the 5 gallon bucket version of this book to the nutshell. Much of the information is extremely valuable but some of the information is obviously bias, and could use a deepening of cultural context. This book has a very English colonialist format. Tibet is so rich, it is hard to grasp in such a short snapshot, and you would be doing yourself a disservice if this is your primary source on this culture.
