The single thing that kept me form giving this book five stars for ftory was the idea that the queen could be impregnated in the pulpa stage, pre-birth.

In the real world, the queen bee mates once in her life, returns to the hive, where perhaps other queens have been born. If not, she has an easy life. if other queens (sisters)return to that hive, then they must fight.

it becomes survival of the fittest.

Is this author a producer of Triple X films?

The story undoubtedly was meant to be a love story, however the graphic details of the sex acts detracted from that purpose. If the protagonists were the kind, gentle and understanding people the author wanted to portray, she should have cleaned up their language and her descriptions of the acts of love making.

Enlightening and insightful.

Having lived through the last seventy years as a privileged Anglo male, I was aware of many of the events in this book, had read several of the authors quoted but never really understood the why as described herein.

Though I think the author was often repetitive, I would not hesitate recommending the book. if I were a high school or college English or History teacher I would assign it to be read and reviewed.

My dad; too!

My dad didn't speak much about the war. what little he did say was critical of the way in which it was fought.

"The hero's died and the fortunate returned," was about all I can remember him saying.

Dad would scream at the television news. "Damned SOB's are going to get us in another war," he shouted when he heard that President Kennedy had sent troops to Vietnam!"

He hated the Air Corps for killing so many of our soldiers and the Marines for getting credit for claiming the beach where so many of his Army buddies died. "They made a nice safe newsreel of the Marines saving the day."

He prayed there would never be another war. I got in trouble for drawing scenes of airplanes bombing like I'd seen in the movies. "there is no glory in war!"

Outstanding entertainment!

I did not want to put this book down.
Our cultural practice is to blame others for our problems. It was refreshing to have our hero, Art Keller to stand up and speak honestly, consequences be damned.
