she really is a great speaker.

loved it! I'm pretty sure I've heard most of this in therapy. It was great to hear again and to hear from a different perspective. So much information but easy to understand and grasp. I wish there was a way I could think her in person. I would recommend it.

Historia
The year is 2008 and Samantha Kofer's career at a huge Wall Street law firm is on the fast track - until the recession hits and she gets downsized, furloughed, escorted out of the building. Samantha, though, is one of the "lucky" associates. She's offered an opportunity to work at a legal aid clinic for one year without pay, after which there would be a slim chance that she'd get her old job back. In a matter of days Samantha moves from Manhattan to Brady, Virginia, population 2,200, in the heart of Appalachia, a part of the world she has only read about.

Enjoyed it but...
Revisado: 06-07-16
John Grisham's great I pretty much enjoy everything he writes. This book was a bit slow in the beginning but picked up some about halfway through and by the end I was enjoying it. I was really disappointed with the narrator. She did a good job reading and had nice inflection in her voice. But there was no distinguishing between characters not even between men and women which made it kind of confusing at times. Let's admit it the reason we buy books from audible is so we can enjoy being read to. I had a hard time enjoying this for the fact that she read so slow let me correct that she read so so slow. I found myself getting tired just listening to her. Listening at 1 1/4 speeds did help but there was still the issue of no character voice changes. I'm not upset that I got this book I just found that it took me a long time to finish it. It was the kind of book that I didn't care if I press the play button right away or let another day go by. But not to be cruel, it was worth listening to, I just wish the narrator put more effort into it.

Historia
It’s summer in Memphis. The sweat is sticking to Rudy Baylor’s shirt and creditors are nipping at his heels. Once he had aspirations of breezing through law school and punching his ticket to the good life. Now he doesn’t have a job or a prayer—except for one: an insurance dispute that leaves a family devastated and opens the door for a lawsuit, if Rudy can find a way to file it. By the time Rudy gets to court, a heavyweight corporate defense team is there to meet him. And suddenly he’s in over his head, plunged into a nightmare of lies and legal maneuverings.

Enjoyed from the beginning to the end
Revisado: 03-05-16
The story was great the characters were very believable it was a very realistic story. The recording wasn't all that great. The quality was good but there were many parts that repeated the last sentence. Not sure why, but you can tell it was recorded from a cd. There was one part where it was interrupted by saying the story continues on the next disk. Although these interruptions were annoying it was not enough to detract from the story itself. I recommend it especially if you're a John Grisham fan. Hope this was helpful.

Historia
On the right side of the law. Sort of. Sebastian Rudd is not your typical street lawyer. He works out of a customized bulletproof van, complete with Wi-Fi, a bar, a small fridge, fine leather chairs, a hidden gun compartment, and a heavily armed driver. He has no firm, no partners, no associates, and only one employee: his driver, who's also his bodyguard, law clerk, confidant, and golf caddy.

John Grisham is a great author I was really enjoying this book up until the last seven chapters when it started skipping I kept going back from my iPad to my phone and there were a lot of problems I had to eventually return it I hope you have better luck with your copy as I said it was great up until then.

A little corny
Revisado: 12-01-15
Pretty good story but a little corny. Somewhat predictable but with some good twists. The character John Puller, stays in character with most of Baldacci's hero characters. If you can stomach just how perfect he is, you should enjoy this story just fine.

Historia
Martyrs to hypochondria and general seediness, J. and his friends George and Harris decide that a jaunt up the Thames would suit them to a ‘T’. But when they set off, they can hardly predict the troubles that lie ahead with tow-ropes, unreliable weather-forecasts and tins of pineapple chunks – not to mention the devastation left in the wake of J.’s small fox-terrier Montmorency.
