Historia
The McCready Family Funeral Home and Bait Shop has crickets running rampant in the store and hot sauce in the Snack Shack's ketchup bottles. But as the county coroner, Frankie has enough on her plate without worrying about the increasingly mean pranks being played at her family's business. And the arrival of Sheriff Eric Linden, both devastatingly attractive and painfully taciturn, is enough to push her over the edge.

Entirely too short
Revisado: 06-26-19
This work should have been included in the novel that came out later. It ends very abruptly.

Historia
Prodigal Summer weaves together three stories of human love within a larger tapestry of lives in southern Appalachia. At the heart of these intertwined narratives is a den of coyotes that have recently migrated into the region. Deanna Wolfe, a reclusive wildlife biologist, watches them from an isolated mountain cabin where she is caught off-guard by Eddie Bondo, a young hunter who comes to invade her most private spaces and her solitary life.

Slow storyline
Revisado: 09-12-18
The story was okay, but the plot dragged on in places and the ending was way too abrupt.

Way too many characters!
Revisado: 07-25-18
This book felt really disjointed to me and there were way too many characters to try to remember. I stuck it out until the end of the book, but I am not sure I will continue the series.

Her ex-husband Tal (aka Talmadge Evans III) was awarded their house in Savannah's historic district, the house that Weezie had spent years painstakingly restoring to its original splendor. Great setting!

I love visiting the Savannah area and this book mentions a number of local places. I loved listening to the story and enjoyed the meandering storylines that came together in the end.
