Unpleasant Narration of a good book

I liked learning about the churches they visited in the south, the history of them and their locale, and how God was working there. But the reader's style was so difficult for me to listen to. The reading was unnatural and choppy with an irritating cadence. I feel it does a disservice to the content. The book would have been much better with a different reader.

I felt I was with Annie on the journey.

The reader brought the author's words to life. It was a wonderful story. I loved the description about what our country and the people were like back in that time period.
