I really love this story--enough that I tolerated the narrator. He isn't the worst I've heard but he narrates SO slowly. I sped the reading up to 1.35x and that put him around normal speed. I liked that I could tell the characters apart but I do wish he'd at least attempted the English accent.

This narrator is new to me and I found I really like him. I thought it was cool how he did the thinking voices. He really brought the story to life. I forgot how adorable their mutual longing was.

Teenage awkwardness meets superheroes meets fanboy....and of course TJ Klune freaking nailed it.
Classic TJ humor with sass and awkwardness that makes you practically fall down laughing at times.
There was a moment there I thought the story was going to be predictable, but I should have known TJ wouldn’t allow that. Nick Bell is just....uuuugh! I love him so! I can’t wait to see what the future brings him....even if what I think is going to happen, happens and he becomes adorably insufferable because of it. :D
Michael Lesley absolutely OWNED this book. There is no one that could have done it as well. His ability make each character’s voices recognizable without even being told who is who just astounds me every time.
I will be listening to this one again and again!

I loved this book when I first read it, but hearing the epic Michael Lesley narrate it? OMG perfection. Just fantastic, low-angst, silliness. Michael always brings life to the characters he reads and this is no exception. It is clear Z.B. put a lot of love, life, and laughter into these characters/story. I appreciate she’s able to create hilarious situations/dialogue without making it seem unrealistic. Sometimes authors sacrifice a good dialogue for humor but she doesn’t. Awesome read. 10/10 will recommend!
