Historia
Miriam is trying. Really, she is. But this whole "settling down thing" that Louis has going for her just isn't working out. She lives on Long Beach Island all year round. Her home is a run-down double-wide trailer. She works at a grocery store as a check-out girl. And her relationship with Louis - who's on the road half the time in his truck - is subject to the piss and vinegar Miriam brings to everything she does. Still, she's keeping her psychic ability - to see when and how someone is going to die just by touching them - in check. But even that feels wrong, somehow. Like she's keeping a tornado stoppered up in a tiny bottle.

Even better than the first!
Revisado: 04-05-17
Loved this story and found inspiration in Wendig's linguistic gems. Very impressed with the writing and its ability to influence my feelings. Plus, Mirium is a refreshing badass mess of a lead character! Can't wait to start the next book in the series.

Historia
This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Best Story I've heard in years
Revisado: 09-28-16
Great story. The narration was perfect. Very clear, captivating with pleasant accents and voices for all characters. I typically have trouble keeping attention on audiobooks, they often fall into the background and I miss lots of the story, but not this time! I was able to enjoy every detail. I am an artist who listens to audiobooks while I work so the lengthiness of this book was wonderful. on to the next one!
