Historia
In less than a year, Neil Peart lost both his 19-year-old daughter, Selena, and his wife, Jackie. Faced with overwhelming sadness and isolated from the world in his home on the lake, Peart was left without direction. That lack of direction lead him on a 55,000 mile journey by motorcycle across much of North America, down through Mexico to Belize, and back again.

slow and dull
Revisado: 09-09-22
Felt like chapter after chapter was somewhat of a repeat. I don't know how he went through the loss of his daughter and then his wife and I sure wouldn't have been able to write about it either.

Historia
Behind a Thin Green Line is the tense story of a solo undercover investigation into a sociopathic ring of poachers. In Idaho’s remote Pahsimeroi Valley, Latham takes a shot at infiltrating this brutal gang of outlaws led by a man who lives to kill. This true story is an enlightening look into a collision of two grossly conflicting cultures of poachers and game wardens.

Historia
The real stories behind the scenery of America’s national parks. For 12 years, Andrea Lankford lived in the biggest, most impressive national parks in the world, working a job she loved. She chaperoned baby sea turtles on their journey to sea. She pursued bad guys on her galloping patrol horse. She jumped into rescue helicopters bound for the heart of the Grand Canyon. She won arguments with bears. She slept with a few too many rattlesnakes. Hell yeah, it was the best job in the world! Fortunately, Andrea survived it.

Loved It
Revisado: 09-08-21
It is easy to be in one of our National Parks and think what a wonderful life it would be to spend my summer right here getting paid to hike the Park as a Ranger. As with all jobs, it can look glamorous and exciting. Exactly what I want, without knowing the behind the scenes difficulties of the day to day grind. When I have visited the Grand Canyon, I tell the Rangers thank-you. Most likely I ask questions they probably answer a hundred times a day, but they answer the questions and I am thrilled buy the answer as if know one has ever asked. Thank you Rangers for protecting our National Treasures form us for future generations. Your loved and appreciated by the general public. Those who don't respect what you do, would not hesitate to call you in the least bit of a bind.

A generational story of the Maclean family.

Being a fan of reading books about water, fishing, mountains, the west, family history and those who risk their lives fighting forest fires, every thing is here. it flows smoothly like a calm stream. This is the third John Maclean book I have read/listened to and I have enjoyed them all.
