Historia
When Star Wars burst on to the big screen in 1977, an unfailingly polite golden droid called C-3PO captured imaginations around the globe. But C-3PO wasn’t an amazing display of animatronics with a unique and unforgettable voice-over. Inside the metal costume was an actor named Anthony Daniels. In this deeply personal memoir, Anthony Daniels recounts his experiences of the epic cinematic adventure that has influenced pop culture for more than 40 years. For the very first time, he candidly describes his most intimate memories as the only actor to appear in every Star Wars film.

Stories from an Icon
Revisado: 09-16-20
And speaking of icons...seriously, why have we not yet made that Oscar Statue a tiny C-3PO yet? And then give this man an Oscar? This story gave me a deeper appreciation to the work it took to make 3PO a fully realized being you fall in love with from the start. This was such a fun listen, and so honest- Mr Daniels pulls no punches in the most polite, lovely way. This is one of those autobiographies I’ll end up listening to more than once. For having such a limited field of view behind that mask, this man saw so much over his decades giving life and humor to this beloved droid. Thank you!

Historia
Rob Paulsen is one of Hollywood's busiest and most passionate performers. If you don't know him by name, you will know him by the many characters he has brought to life: Pinky from Pinky and the Brain and Yakko from Animaniacs, Raphael from the original animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and many more. So, you can imagine how terrifying it must have been when Rob was diagnosed with throat cancer, putting his entire livelihood in jeopardy and threatening to rob the world of all his loveable characters that filled our youth and adulthood with humor and delight.

Turtle Power, Who Knew?
Revisado: 09-11-20
Maybe it’s just me, but in the case it isn’t: Rob’s story legitimately made me laugh and cry and thankfully not vomit. Truly though, this is a story about finding beauty and truth in humanity through gratitude and childlike humor when life gets dark. I know it sounds like I’m hitting all the buzzwords but I really am so inspired...if you’re feeling like life is tough right now, and Rob’s voice was one you heard as a kid being babysat by cartoons, listen to this for comfort and hope. Thank you Rob Paulsen.
