Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Amazing personal journey
Revisado: 08-04-22
This is absolutely one of the best books I've ever encountered. Viola Davis puts it all out there, just WOW. Harrowing hardships of her youth, enduring constant family turmoil, finding a path forward, relentlessly working to survive and grow with only herself to navigate a sea of uncertainties and challenges, driven by her love for acting and self realization. Amazing story of bravery, perseverance, gutsy choices, pushing to decode and put her experiences into perspective, liberating growth and acceptance, finding love and joy. Ms. Davis, you are a true woman warrior.

Historia
For 25 years, millions of Americans watched Jack Perkins on NBC News as a correspondent, commentator, and anchorman. People were familiar with his face, his bearing, and his rich, reassuring bass. Yet at the age of 52 and at the height of his career, Jack Perkins disappeared from the public eye and moved with his wife, Mary Jo, to a bare-necessities cabin on an uninhabited island off the coast of Maine. This isolated home they came to call Moosewood was the setting for Jack and Mary Jo’s spiritual awakening.

Inspiring story of personal life journey
Revisado: 05-08-21
outstanding book, great telling of breaking away and embracing a new way of life which is more true, uncertain and adventurous. Not preachy whatsoever, rather, relatable and honest and sensible. Made even better being read by the author.

great book and audio performance!
Revisado: 09-27-19
Really liked the book, though the truth of the horrors imposed on so many families and children is unfathomable and heartbreaking. A story of triumph over adversity and hardship, infused with wonderful tidbits of wisdom.

Historia
Gene Wilder is one of the great comic actors who defined the 1970s and 1980s in movies. From his work with Woody Allen, to the rich group of movies he made with Mel Brooks, to his partnership on screen with Richard Pryor, Wilder's performances are still discussed and celebrated today.
