i could not put this book down! I recommend this book to everyone! you will go thru all the emotions and cry. I felt like i was there going thru it w the characters. the extreme sadness at the end was heart wrenching! Julia Whelan really brings the characters to life.

Simply wonderful! I couldn't stop listening

I have simply enjoyed the first 2 books. i love a good historical murder mystery. once i started listening i could not stop. i was totally enthralled in the books. i recommend these to anyone who historical murder mysteries. the characters were well defined. i have never written one of these but have to let you all know she is a great author. the reader of books was very good. i enjoyed the animal sounds, clever i thought. cannot wait to start book 3. Enjoy!!
