Many of us have waited so long for this book. I am so sad over the small advances to the overall story. And, yes, I must agree I am very disappointed with Roy Dotrice's performance. Didn't he have time to go back and listen to one of his previous readings?
Most of all I am disappointed in the story itself. Some of my most favorite characters seem to be deleted from the future of the tale. I guess, on the bright side, I won't have to pay for anymore of these books, 'cos I won't be reading (listening) them.

This book really needed someone to do accents. I am completely distracted by the American woman not even trying to get the voice right. I cringe very time she reads the male lead that should be a Scot. I KNOW there are narraters who can do this. Why wasn't one used???

This book is described thus "Here is a witty and inventive satire of "men of science" and their thinking" There is nothing witty in this book. It is a long and weary drone about nothing. I wish I had one good thing to say, but I don't.

The Music is Great......

But the text is much too weak. The narrator reminds me of someone reading a song in the late 60s/early 70s about Atlantis. A beatuiful voice but not much to say.
I've listened to this 3 times and I still can't tell you what its about. I get lost in the music and the soothing voice.
