The most selfish MC I’ve ever seen.
Revisado: 03-27-25
The MC creates and spends hundreds of gold for himself while his parents and family are living are poor. Good book, but the longer he went without giving his people any money whatsoever the more I began scoffing at the immaturity and selfishness. Being isekai’d as a kid doesn’t justify a grown man acting like one just saying,

Leo wanted to make something out of himself—and build dams. However, the world doesn't want dams. And it mostly doesn't want civil engineers. It doesn't want men who do any sort of building or fighting or grand design, it seems. So, when Leo finds his current girlfriend and boss being threatened by a brutal loan shark and all three of them get dragged through a portal to another world, it doesn't take long for him to decide this is the place for him. Plus, everyone has magic, and who wouldn't want that?

A bit slow, but satisfying nonetheless
Revisado: 03-27-25
I loved it. Kind of wish the MC wasn’t such a utilitarian and took some combat skills but he was still serviceable I guess. Narrator’s range was great. His female voices aren’t the best but he was still solid, I’ll be looking for him from now on.

Maxwell Carter works a maintenance job at a government research facility. The research lab he works at has an accident, more energy coming through the wormhole than anticipated, enough to completely rupture the shields that were supposed to contain it until they finished determining how to convert the energy into electricity. Previously harmless animals are changed to nightmare threats and people are dying, seemingly due to incidents related directly to their interests.

Interesting but falls short
Revisado: 03-25-25
The beginning had me excited, but that faded quickly when the MC and cast took the country bumpkin approach to being given power. Casually, painfully, slowly leveling. Just an egregious waste of plot armor smh. These guys are just skating through the apocalypse, getting laid in the shade as well lol smh. Try it if you’re bored it won’t hold your attention throughout but it’ll interest you for an hour or 3.

Max was murdered, but now he is mostly over it. Living on earth as a recent college graduate, he can still perfectly recall his past life on Albion, a sword and sorcery world. He'd been hailed as the "Hero of the World" after crawling his way up from poverty, eventually enjoying great fame and luxury. But on mana-starved Earth, he's just a guy.

2HRS LEFT AND HES STILL 2 STARS??
Revisado: 02-24-25
This is a bit weird. While I enjoyed some parts of the book, once I realized he spent the entire book just saying he needs to get stronger instead of actually progressing it fell off hard. It’s like the author was trying to do misdirection. Like “mmhm the story hasn’t progressed at all, but HEY LOOK HE REALLY CLOSE TO 3 STARS THOUGH” lmfao. What a waste.
Overall, while the book has interesting bits, there’s honestly no real progression. It’s all lateral, nearly zero vertical progress at all. I hope the next one makes up for this obvious full book setup.

Ragnarok is near and the Vikings of Midgard have failed to uphold their duty to prevent it. Magnus’s death caught the All-Father’s one good eye. As an Army Ranger, he knew he was placing himself in the line of fire every day, and knew a day could come that cost him his life. What he didn't want was the rest of his team would be wiped out with him, the worst disaster the Rangers had experienced in decades.

Historia
So it turns out overthrowing a 14,000-year-old cultivation empire is going to take longer than I expected, but I've made a great start. I've broken through to the Core Realm of my hidden Berserker art, established a new Terran Sect, and even discovered a tribe of lost Terrans out in the wild. There's a whole lot more at stake and even more people to save, but that's all the more reason to free the Earth from the empire's control. Not everyone is thrilled about my progression, however.

Historia
When the cultivators came to Earth, they destroyed our entire civilization in a matter of hours. Armies fell, cities burned, and that was before the moon turned red and filled our world with monsters. Now, over a decade later, what's left of humanity slaves under the heels of our Qi-infused masters. The luckiest of us might even become one of them, they say—if we serve the Dynasty well enough and harness the power of Qi. But I want none of that. I'm sick of serving, and I want nothing to do with their world. Instead, I want them to pay for what they did to mine.

Revisado: 07-16-24
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's not common you find such a well-written story with a plot that's both unpredictable and enjoyable. A narrator with energy that keeps you on the edge of your seats. Wayne, if you somehow are reading this, you now have a huge fan. Keep doing your thing brother!!

Where power is measured in cards, Arthur stands among the elite as a Legendary card wielder now forever linked to a frighteningly powerful dragon. Or Brixaby will be once he grows from the size of a parrot. Before that can happen, a chance encounter whisks Arthur and Brixaby away to a place they never thought possible: A new dragon hive outside the kingdom. This Free Hive doesn't suffer from the scourge that's infected the rest of the planet. It's a place where crafting using card powers is king.

WOW... THIS BECAME TRASH REALLY QUICK......
Revisado: 05-29-24
The longer you listen to the series the more you're wonder "how can a guy with 2 legendary set cards and a dragon who can steal powers and cards from anyone, still be this dog gone weak?" I can't finish this. Spoiler alert: when I heard him fighting, in a dungeon mind you, by throwing cooking flower and a hot iron at the scrouge, I lost it. Like wtf am I even listening too anymore. The first 2 were sooo good, but the author has completely crippled his own mc by placing him on the moral high horse. Like wth? isn't this the same kid who cheated fools in gambling dens. At one point his highest skills were the thief class. Now he's too good the do what needs to be done to get stronger?!?! TRASH. Authors, please listen, JUST BECAUSE ITS LITRPG DOESNT MEAN THE MC HAS TO BE A P***Y , VIRGIN, OR HOLY-ER THAN DAO. You guys are destroying good stories by limiting yourselves to this same cookie cut sesame street bs. I do not recommend this book or any future books until the MC starts utilizing at least 30% of the tools he has. The man is still running around like a noob still wtf.

"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

Great Performance. Bland story.
Revisado: 04-03-24
I get a story not taking itself too seriously, but there is such a thing as not being serious enough. Like the story was great book 1, but in book 2 the author just makes everything a joke. Even if someone is thrown into the demon realm smh. On top of all this the MC is simpleton, she's basically a thot who'll sleep with anything man or woman that likes to fight and loves her freedom. Definition of for the streets. If you enjoy listening to a thot with special abilities and plot armor a mile long this series is for you. I planned on buying book3 and finishing it, but I have 7 hours left in book2 and I'm done. Awesome narration though her range is impressive.
