Historia
Reclaiming Parkland details the failed attempt of Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman - cofounder of the production company Playtone - to make Vincent Bugliosi’s mammoth book about the Kennedy assassination, Reclaiming History, into a miniseries. It exposes the questionable origins of Reclaiming History in a dubious mock trial for cable television, in which Bugliosi played the role of an attorney prosecuting Lee Harvey Oswald for murder, and how this formed the basis for the epic tome.

Brilliant, painful, and eye-opening.
Revisado: 11-19-17
DiEugenio methodically and convincingly demolishes the Warren Commission fables. Troxell’s narration is spellbinding. Reclaiming Parkland is a must-listen masterpiece with lessons from recent history that reverberate to today

Historia
Since 2014, international monetary agencies have been issuing warnings to a small group of finance ministers, banks, and private equity funds: The US government's cowardly choices not to prosecute J.P. Morgan and its ilk and to bloat the economy with a $4 trillion injection of easy credit are driving us headlong toward a cliff. As Rickards shows in this frightening, meticulously researched book, governments around the world have no compunction about conspiring against their citizens.

Spellbinding
Revisado: 01-10-17
Rickard's analysis of the global economy - using the tools of complexity theory, behavioralism, historical economics, and more - is brilliant enough, but his ability to make the otherwise esoteric and dry easy to understand and thoroughly engaging is without equal. With only rare exceptions, his arguments backed by evidence are masterpieces of rational thinking that demolish the propagandas of "efficient markets," "free-trade," "monetarism," and "financial deregulation."
Though he seems to have fallen prey to one or two mainstream catechisms himself - for example, what Rickard refers to as the "hobby horse" of the elite and the "debate" within the scientific community over anthropomorphic climate change is actually an overwhelming consensus within the scientific community, and whether or not climate change is being used to control the population neither diminishes nor enhances its truth value - the potency of his thesis and the evidence behind it remains strong.
I just finished listening to this audiobook today, and I'm starting it over tonight - "The Road to Ruin" is that great.
