Not as good as usual, but okay.

I really like this author and this series. This particular book though, was really slow to build and it wasn't until the last couple hours that you start to get the gist of the story. So, just okay. Looking forward to the next one.

Okay. The first book in the series was better.
Revisado: 11-22-24
This was an okay story. It took a long time to develop and was lacking in the intrigue that the first book in this series had. I hope the next one is stronger.

Better suited for a Lifetime made for television movie
Revisado: 07-02-24
12 hours of my life that I won't get back. I considered stopping so many times and thought surely it has to get better. I finally realized what I thought of this book and that is that if it were a 2-hour lifetime made for television movie, which is exactly what the story sounded like, that would have been a better use of my time, and I would have saved 10 hours.

Such a GREAT Swan Song!
Revisado: 06-17-24
I admit I was deeply saddened to learn that this would be the last Elin Hilderbrand Nantucket novel. When I found Elin's series I devoured all that was there and then like so many others eagerly awaited the next yearly release. So when learning this was the last, I was definitely disappointed. Then, I thought more about it. I have other writers that I follow that publish series that probably should have written the swan song long ago. Like these books, I await them and get them as soon as they are released and then I am disappointed because they are just not great anymore. I keep giving it another chance with each new book and am left unfulfilled. With that in mind, I appreciate that Elin says that she doesn't feel that she has another great story for Nantucket to write and so I appreciate that she is letting it go on a high note and that she does! Such a wonderful story! Thank you Elin. And, thank you Erin. You are such a wonderful narrator. I find new authors sometimes through narrators that I love and that may be how I found Elin - because of you. For the reader / listener be sure to listen through Elin and Erin's conversation at the end. It's worth it!

So Odd!
Revisado: 04-22-24
This book was so odd! The author tried to tell multiple stories in one story and it wasn't until 3/4 of the way into the book that I could really tell which story was supposed to be "the" story. None of it was done well, but could have been if she just would have stuck with one storyline. I see many reviews that say the same thing and also say this author is generally really good, so I'll probably give her another try. This was my first book with her.
