Essentialism is more than a time-management strategy or a productivity technique. It is a systematic discipline for discerning what is absolutely essential, then eliminating everything that is not, so we can make the highest possible contribution toward the things that really matter.

I don’t think I want this style of Essentialism
Revisado: 06-20-24
This book came highly recommended but about half-way through I couldn’t wait for it to be over. There are some interesting points made in the first few chapters but the author keeps preaching about “the way of the essentialist” to a point where it’s like he’s trying to convince you to join a cult.
I was hoping for more practical advice that could be used in the real world.

Historia
You don't need to fight the algorithm anymore. Fill your event using the algorithm, making it work for you, not against you. What I’m going to teach and what you are going to discover in this audiobook is how you can fill your nightclub or bar with what I call a very unfair advantage. I've spent years studying and learning the social media algorithms, how it is applied, why we have it, and how consumers flow through it. This experience ultimately allowed me to create the La Vella method.

Very little actual information or ideas
Revisado: 03-31-23
The author spends lots of time explaining how he has sold out lots of events with an "unfair advantage" and then spends more time explaining the history and basic workings of the Facebook algorithm. And then when it comes time to actually explain the "Unfair Advantage" the author says he can't explain all of the advanced strategies in "just a few paragraphs" - oh ok... so you're holding back the real info. Shame.
I got a few decent ideas from this book but it's a whole lotta filler and just a couple of basic ideas.
