Historia
"You want more time Mr Brown, of course you do. We all want more time. Let me make you an offer...." Andrew Brown never has enough time. No time to call his sister, or to prepare for that important presentation at the bank where he works. The train’s late, the lift jams. If only he’d had just a little more time. And time is the business of Mr Symington and Mr Blenkinsop. They’ll lend him some - at a very reasonable rate of interest. Detecting a problem, the Doctor, Amy and Rory go undercover at the bank.

Really liked this one
Revisado: 07-06-16
I found this one kept my attention the entire time. There was a little bit of humor in it, an interesting plot, and likable characters. It also did not have a ton of death. Sometimes the stories that feature in Doctor Who have characters being killed right and left, this one was less violent.

Historia
Dan Starkey reads this original novel featuring the 12th Doctor and Clara, as played in the BBC TV series by Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman. The Phaeron travelled among the stars using roads made from time and space but left only relics behind when they disappeared over a million years ago. But what actually happened to the Phaeron? In the far future, humans discover the last Phaeron road - and the Doctor and Clara join the mission to see where it leads.

Not a happy story
Revisado: 04-02-16
What would have made Doctor Who: Deep Time better?
Some humor and a lot fewer gruesome deaths and discoveries. It was becoming like "Friday the 13th" after a while. Also, it never explained how the ship could disappear over a century ago and have the adult child of the captain without the adult child being over 100 years old.
What was most disappointing about Trevor Baxendale’s story?
Doctor Who may normally have a lot of alien death, and occasional human death as well, but it usually also has some humor and what appears to be a story that is more than just "death comes to Deep Time". I thought there were a few elements that made it more than a one star read but so far this has been my least favorite Doctor Who audiobook.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Dan Starkey?
Someone who could do both Clara and the Doctor's Scottish accent.
What character would you cut from Doctor Who: Deep Time?
Marco was driving me crazy. He careened from sleazeball to psychopath to a person with mommy issues.
Any additional comments?
The story could have been good, there was possibility. The plot was okay, it just didn't have the right story built around it if that makes sense.

Historia
You are about to travel to Edgecombe St. Mary, a small village in the English countryside filled with rolling hills, thatched cottages, and a cast of characters both hilariously original and as familiar as the members of your own family. Among them is Major Ernest Pettigrew (retired), the unlikely hero of Helen Simonson's wondrous debut. Wry, courtly, opinionated, and completely endearing, Major Pettigrew is one of the most indelible characters in contemporary fiction, and from the very first page of this remarkable novel he will steal your heart.

Gently enjoyable
Revisado: 09-20-10
This is a book for anyone who wants a gentle listening experience. While there is a plot to the story of course, it does not hit you over the head, but rather meanders its way through the tale, building up to a few wonderfully choice scenes. The narration is excellent too. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiotape and wish there were more novels like it.

Historia
Dr. Francis Collins, head of the Human Genome Project, is one of the world's leading scientists, yet he is also a man of unshakable faith in God and scripture. Dr. Collins has resolved the dilemma that haunts everyone who believes in God and respects science. Faith in God and faith in science can be harmonious, not separately but together, combined into one worldview. For Collins, science does not conflict with the Bible, science enhances it.

A great listen
Revisado: 06-05-07
While I found the parts of the book meant to convince believers to accept science more persuasive than the parts meant to convince scientists to believe, I did find the entire book to be well thought out and interesting. Collins calming tone and unique perspective allows the science/religion debate to detoxify enough to see that the current fight-to-the-death attitude on both sides is not necessary. I would love for him to write further on the subject - perhaps more in depth on an explanation of his personal beliefs and how he got there. I see how he is a diest, but I am still unsure how he made the jump to theist. Since hearing his book and I am putting more time and effort into deciding where my own beliefs lie. All in all, a great listen and highly recommended.
