Historia
Ted Bundy’s Murderous Mysteries is a deep-dive into the archival record of the America’s most notorious serial killer. It’s a veritable goldmine of information on Bundy, his victims, and this very voluminous case. Written by the foremost authority on Ted Bundy, this latest examination of this brutal serial killer contains new, revealing, and never-before-published interviews with those close to Bundy, close to his victims, and a potential victim who barely escaped his clutches.

Fourth in Sullivan's Bundy Series
Revisado: 07-06-19
This fourth volume in Kevin Sullivan's series on the Ted Bundy case presents many interesting documents from the vast case files, such as police interviews with witnesses and various reports between police jurisdictions. Perhaps especially valuable here is how much more insight and information regarding the lives and personalities of Bundy's victims this volume provides in comparison not only to Sullivan's previous volumes but also all other well known literature on the case. My chief disappointment is that the narrator for this volume is not Kevin Pierce, as in the previous three. I have purchased several audible books simply because Kevin Pierce is the narrator; he is, imo, second to none. Here, however, Jeffrey Hering delivers an adequate but often distracting performance, primarily because of several habitual mispronunciations. His rendering of "Sammamish" drove me nuts, and his unvarying pronunciation of "Chi" (the Greek letter in Chi Omega) as "Chai" (like the tea) literally evoked crabby yells from me every time I heard it. I wish audible.com would exercise greater oversight of pronunciation on the part of its narrators.

Historia
The tragic story of Susan Powell and her murdered boys, Charlie and Braden, is the only case that rivals the Jon Benet Ramsey saga in the annals of true crime. When the pretty, blonde Utah mother went missing in December of 2009 the media was swept up in the story - with lenses and microphones trained on Susan's husband, Josh. He said he had no idea what happened to his young wife, and that he and the boys had been camping in the middle of a snowstorm.

Heartbreaking and compelling
Revisado: 07-30-16
This is my first review after some 120 audible.com book purchases, most of which are in the true crime genre. This particular story stands out because of its heartbreaking conclusion and the skillful narrative that moves toward it. This is one of several titles I have listened to more than once, and I find the story all the more engaging and compelling when knowing in advance how it will turn out. Both narrators are masterful. Kevin Pierce, the main narrator, is, as always, superb--especially in this work that requires pathos and empathy.
