Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Mind boggling
Revisado: 11-03-16
This story really got under my skin in a disturbing but thought provoking good way. It makes you think about the manipulators in the world and what to stay away from. It is not just an entertaining story but a well thought out and emotional roller coster with lots of twists and turns...each character is VIVID. I do wonder if the movie will live up to the book.

Amazing finish to a fast paced book
Revisado: 04-09-14
I wasn't sure how Dan Wells was going to finish this series, but I can say that it was just as fast paced as the beginning. Loved each character and towards the end I hoped it would keep going and going, yet he finished it the perfect way...a most satisfying ending.

Even better than the first!
Revisado: 06-06-13
The heart pounding adventures of the 13th Tribe continues as Jaggar has to deal with both the tribe and an even worse group of immortals called The Clan. He has to leave his wife Beth and son Tyler at the monestary while him and Owen set off to stop the worse evil of the Clan. The Clan has only one goal: to grieve God by killing His people which makes them hard to track down since their acts of violence are random. In this book the supernatural clashes with the natural with heart-pounding intensity. While Jaggar sets of to stop evil, The Tribe attacks the monestary in hopes to kidnap Beth since they are under the impression that she holds the secret on how to be forgiven by God and thus end their immortality (and enter into heaven). There are interesting twists and turns and I trully hope there is more because the ending was spectacular!

Loved it but
Revisado: 05-09-13
I will start by saying I think this book was well writen and kept my interest to the very end, and it also makes me look forward to the next book. However I will say that though in some ways I like America (the character) there are ways in which I don't like her. I think she is double minded and selfish. She wants Prince Maxin and she want her former love too. When prince Maxin gives attention the the other girls she sees it as a betrayal all the while not seeing that she is doing the same exact thing. Still I think that perhaps this is her character flaw that perhaps she might hopefully overcome in the next book and thus I'm still giving this book a five star. There are twists and turns that I didn't see coming but enjoyed especially toward the end where we catch a glimpse into the why's of Prince Maxin

Historia
Lazarus occupies a surprising position in the Gospel accounts. Widely known as the man Jesus raised from the dead, his story is actually much broader and richer than that. Living as he did at Bethany, near Jerusalem, Lazarus was uniquely placed to witness the swirl of events around Jesus. When Jesus Wept, the first novel in The Jerusalem Chronicles series by best-selling authors Bodie and Brock Thoene, unfolds the turbulent times in Judea during Jesus' ministry, centering on the friendship between Jesus and Lazarus.

Loved it!
Revisado: 05-05-13
When Jesus Wept was a masterpiece with every passing word. The story of Lazarus comes alive from the very first words, sending chills through me. The Bible clearly tells us that Lazarus was much loved by Jesus and this book shows that. Yes I understand that this is fiction but it is very believable fiction where a lot of the 'whys' in the Bible are given possible answers. There are pictures that swept through my heart like the part where Jesus turned the water in to wine. The part I loved best was of course where we are given a glimpse of what Lazarus might have exprienced when he died, it was painted in vivid words that made me long for heaven. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Felt very real and got me thinking
Revisado: 04-15-13
One of the reviewers had stated that this book didn't feel real and that the disciples didn't feel real and couldn't see how they went on to start a church because they didn't have enough faith. I feel the exact opposite, yes this book does show the disciples as human beings who struggled with faith as much as we do in this present age, but to me this added to the believability of this book. We have each read the gospels and we know the story and therefore we think we would have acted differently had we lived, walked, talked with and seen Jesus ourselves...however this book shows how real people without a glimpse into the future would act. More importantly I felt the character of Judas was very real. Through this story I felt his doubts, his longing for a Messiah, for someone to fight for him and for his people, to bring down the Romans with a crushing blow, to bring down the hypocrites in the temple...and his dissapointment when that did not happen. Tosca Lee does an extraordinary job in this story and it moved me to tears because it made me look at myself and all my doubts and I saw the Judas in me. It made me see that I too could have been Judas. The ending was good too but I was hoping for something a bit different, but that is the writer in me seeing a thousand different possibilities. Overall, I loved this book and look forward for more stories from this author...oh, and I highly recommend this one! It is definatly one of Tosca's best so far!

Revisado: 03-26-13
I loved Cinder (the first book) and I adored this second book in the Lunar Chronicle series. The plot thickened considerably where now we have two important characters we get to follow and we get to know. Cinder's dilema continues as she is a fugitive of both the earthen people and the Lunar Queen. A new and enchanting character we get to meet is Scarlett who is on a quest to find her kidnapped grandmother. Along the way she meet a boy by the name of Wolf who is both mysetrious and dangerous. I loved this story and it's many twists and turns and look forward to the next book in the series.

Day and June...like Romeo and Juliet but better
Revisado: 03-19-13
The characters came alive as I listened to this book. Day and June are vivid characters that came alive in the depths of my imaginatiion. I loved the fast paced story line that was filled with emotion and fast paced heart thumping action. Day and June have joined the Patriots against the Republic in a goal to assasinate the Elector (leader of the Republic). At first both Day and June agree to the plan but soon both find out that not all is as it seems. Who can be trusted?
The book keeps you asking questions and gives satisfactory answers. I can't say enough how much I loved this book!
