Not sure what makes the books so fun to listen to- the writing or Ray Porter's narration. Still keeping with the franchise, adding some new characters ( to me new character seems a *bit* pushed to fill a type cast role- I think that this character could have been thought out more but that's just me) . Definitely worth the listen!

I grabbed this book while on a camping trip and couldn't put it down- had to down load the Audible version to listen to on my commute when I returned. I didn't realize that this was the second in the series so I can assume that Bombs Away had some more of the back story but it read fine as a stand alone. May suggest reading Bombs Away first, but this was definitely a fun book to read!

I have read everything that I can get my hands on regarding our troops in the region of the world and Red Platoon is near the top of my list. My advice: look up COP Keating and get a feel for the terrain and layout of the camp before starting the book. What these men endured under impossible odds is both awe inspiring and incredibly sad. The narrator is very measured but he grows on the listener and "stays out of the way" of the story. This is a "don't hesitate, put it in your cart now" book.

Good entertaining book with some stories that we can all relate and laugh to. For those of you without kids it gets pretty heavy on the kid stuff towards the end and almost feels like filler, Amy Poehler's book did the same thing. It kind of threw cold water on the book. But that's my opinion not yours! I don't regret the purchase and it was good entertainment that was worth it.

Kill Switch was a great book! I hated for it to end! If you are a Joe Ledge fan you won't be disappointed!Now the difficult part, adding another book into my library that is written and read so well. who else writes and narrates a book as well as these two? Hard act to follow.
