I loved this audio book and could not quit listening. There were so many surprises. I loved the characters and felt I knew them after reading. I gained a greater appreciation for survivors of war.

I loved the book! It brought out many emotions as I read. It was happy and sad as life was experienced for the two sisters. The story showed how hope can be had even when times are tough. I could not put the book down!

The book was fascinating. I had not realized how many people had been in camps in the Philippines. The story made the suffering feel real and gave me a great appreciation for the resilience of people.

I enjoyed listening and could not put it down! The narrator was great to listen to. I marvel at the bravery of many of the people in the story. Hopefully by reading stories, people can learn and prevent hatred in the world.

I would recommend this great book. The narrator was enjoyable to listen to and made the book come to life. I picked up things I had not noticed while reading previously. A super book for all!
