Historia
Eleanor, the charming manager of a cozy tea shop, enjoys the transportive ritual of making a cup of Masala Chai tea, reminisces about the tea's origins, and delights in the beauty of her quaint English village during the holidays. Bedtime stories are narrated by the world's most celebrated voices and written with no beginning, middle, or end so you don't stay up to hear what happens next. They're interesting enough to give your mind something to focus on, but delivered in a way that encourages sleep.

So Relaxing, Pleasant and Dreamlike
Revisado: 09-16-22
It's really a story about nothing much and it's just interesting enough to keep the mind gently entertained to rest or sleep. I have probably listened to this 30 times over the past year or so, and I don't think I've ever heard it all. Great for an insomiac!

Historia
Tinker's Cottage nestles in a forgotten corner of deepest Somerset. It also happens to sit on a weak point in the space time continuum...which is somewhat unfortunate for Ian Faulkener, a graphic novelist from London, who was hoping for some peace and quiet in which to recuperate following a very messy breakdown. It was the cats that first alerted Ian to the fact that something was not quite right with Tinker's Cottage...the cats and, of course, the Pope, disappearing literary agents, mislaid handymen and the insanity of Cherie Blair World.

It took me a chapter or two to warm up to the characters, but by chapter three you are on a trip that will have your enthralled and amused... that ending though...

Give it a Chance
Revisado: 05-01-22
When I first listened to this, I couldn't make sense of it, but eventually I figured out that THAT is the point. I have tried many sleep stories and podcasts, none of then work as well as this one. The ads can be challenging, so just start the episodes at around 22 minutes or do the pay option if you can. Scoots is quirky, but aren't we all? Sleep well...

Historia
Minnie Cooper knows two things with certainty: that her New Year's birthday is unlucky, and that it's all because of Quinn Hamilton, a man she's never met. Their mothers gave birth to them at the same hospital just after midnight on New Year's Day, but Quinn was given the cash prize for being the first baby born in London in 1990 - and the name Minnie was meant to have, as well. With luck like that, it's no wonder each of her birthdays has been more of a disaster than the one before.

Surprisingly Delightful
Revisado: 09-28-21
I used "surprisingly " because this genre has more insipid writing then I'd like to admit. This writer knows what she's doing. I was all in, never distracted by uncomfortable writing cliches or lame comic moments. it was a fun book all the way to the end.

Fake reviews!!!!
Revisado: 05-17-21
Notice that all those 5 star reviews are similar and posted on the same day??? Well, I noticed but purchased anyway. The stories are poorly written, some are disturbing and (I didn't finish the audio book) but at least one is pornograghic. Not the stuff I find sleep inducing. Don't waste your credit/ money!

Historia
In Cured, Dr. Rediger digs down to the root causes of illness, showing how to create an environment that sets the stage for healing. He reveals the patterns behind healing and lays out the physical and mental principles associated with recovery: first, we need to physically heal our diet and our immune systems. Next, we need to mentally heal our stress response and our identities. Through rigorous research, Dr. Rediger shows that much of our physical reality is created in our minds. Our perception changes our experience, even to the point of changing our physical bodies.
