Historia
This hilarious, heartfelt, and soaring adventure will delight fans of The Goonies and Indiana Jones. Performed as a 1930s radio drama, it’s bursting with humor for all ages, orchestral scoring, and some of the most talented voices on Broadway. When their ace pilot parents (and adorable puppy) mysteriously disappear over the Pacific, the Flamingo Sisters - Flo, Faye, and Franny - escape the clutches of their evil Uncle Freidrich (who believes girls should never pilot aeroplanes) and join a flying circus.

Historia
In 1942, London, Nancy Mitford is worried about more than air raids and German spies. Still recovering from a devastating loss, the once sparkling Bright Young Thing is estranged from her husband, her allowance has been cut, and she’s given up her writing career. On top of this, her five beautiful but infamous sisters continue making headlines with their controversial politics. Eager for distraction and desperate for income, Nancy jumps at the chance to manage the Heywood Hill bookshop while the owner is away at war.

Good, but not overwhelmingly great
Revisado: 12-21-21
I really disliked Kate’s character at first, I suppose she is a parallel character to Nancy Mitford, and apparently Nancy was an acquired taste. I didn’t really learn anything new about Nancy that I didn’t already know, aside from the question of her unpublished memoir. I feel that Leah’s character is only touched upon, and there are a lot of loose ends. Overall, it was ok but not worthy of 5 stars

Historia
Eugene Bullard lived one of the most fascinating lives of the 20th century. The son of a former slave and an indigenous Creek woman, Bullard fled home at the age of 11 to escape the racial hostility of his Georgia community. When his journey led him to Europe, he garnered worldwide fame as a boxer, and later as the first African-American fighter pilot in history. After the war, Bullard returned to Paris a celebrated hero. But little did he know that the dramatic, globe-spanning arc of his life had just begun.

Wow this man’s life story is absolutely incredible. He knew everyone who was anyone. I really would love to see this made into a series. It’s sad that I’ve never heard of him or his history before. He deserves his place in history. The only thing I’m knocking off one star is the reader does not have a very good French pronunciation.

Wow, I cannot wait to watch Men in Kilts. This audiobook is my favorite of 2021 so far this year. Sam and Graham are hilarious. At the same time, you learn so much in depth history of Scotland and back story of Outlander. It’s very eye opening. I really enjoyed getting to know Sam and Graham on a personal level. I want to ride bikes with them and explore castles and drink whiskey in old bars. As a descendant of highland Scots ancestry, this book was every thing I wanted to know and had a great laugh along the way.

Historia
This is the story of how America's first women soldiers helped win World War I, earned the vote, and fought the US Army. In 1918 the US Army Signal Corps sent 223 women to France. They were masters of the latest technology: the telephone switchboard. General John Pershing, commander of the American Expeditionary Forces, demanded female "wire experts" when he discovered that inexperienced doughboys were unable to keep him connected with troops under fire.

Wonderful until the end
Revisado: 05-24-20
I loved every minute of this book if the author had just stuck to the historical facts. But I really could have done without the last 20 minutes of the clearly leftist political slant.

What’s in a name? A lot. The name Tinaca, for example, has been passed down in the Jones family for generations of women. In fact, the Joneses name a Tinaca every other generation, to let the name breathe a little. To let each Tinaca shine. And shine is exactly what Tinaca Jones intends to do.
