Historia
Women rule in Women's Country. Women live apart from men, sheltering the remains of civilization. They have cut themselves off with walls and by ordinance from marauding males. Waging war is all men are good for. Men are allowed to fight their barbaric battles among themselves, garrison against garrison. For the sake of his pride, each boy child ritualistically rejects his mother when he comes of age to be a warrior. But all the secrets of civilization are strictly the possession of women.

Good but underdeveloped

I was surprised when it ended, I was just starting to get into it. The world building was intriguing, but more of a teasing reveal at the end. It'd make more sense as the first in a trilogy.

Historia
Meet the Wolf. Joe Wolf. He’s the head of a multibillion-dollar empire—a newspaper, a holding company, a football team—and the head of a family that puts King Lear to shame. His empire shows signs of crumbling when he’s approached with an “offer” to sell. It’s clear from the start that Joe is going to pay the ultimate price—and maybe more—if he refuses.

Felt like I was listening to a Tesla ad. "Gahhhhd, the TesIa is such a sweet ride" and many other such comments over the 74-minute preview.
You can definitely skip this, not sure what the point was. 2 scary dudes (one of whom very much loves his TesIa—sounds like the other guy doesn't even have one, what a sucker), are gonna have a showdown over a pro football team in a future book. I'm sure TesIa dude will win.

Historia
Nora Kelly, a young curator at the Santa Fe Institute of Archaeology, is approached by historian Clive Benton with a once-in-a-lifetime proposal: to lead a team in search of the so-called "Lost Camp" of the tragic Donner Party. Benton tells Kelly he has stumbled upon an amazing find: the long-sought diary of one of the victims, which has an enigmatic description of the Lost Camp. Nora agrees to lead an expedition to locate and excavate it-to reveal its long-buried secrets. Once in the mountains, they learn that discovering the camp is only the first step in a mounting journey of fear.

Not enough to sink your teeth into
Revisado: 11-08-21
I'll be vague, but the big reveal would be readily guessed by anyone with passing knowledge of the topic, if not for several aspects that seemed pretty far-fetched. Instead it was presented as a eureka! moment when even the character acknowledged it was widely known. Painful to wait for them to finally state the obvious, then present it in such a way.
I also found the end quite grating and inelegant. They could've done without the ham-handed foreshadowing.
Although it kept my attention and I enjoyed the two protagonists more than P, this is probably my least favorite of the authors' books.

Historia
When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity. Cloning, feel-good drugs, anti-aging programs, and total social control through politics, programming, and media: has Aldous Huxley accurately predicted our future? With a storyteller's genius, he weaves these ethical controversies in a compelling narrative that dawns in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, the deity). When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

Michael York should stick to the stage and leave narration to the pros.

Ruined by Michael York narration
Revisado: 11-03-21
Terrible narration, hard to get into story with it. Audible desperately needs to implement volume leveling.
