Another beautifully dreadful story
Revisado: 08-18-23
Kristopher Triana is so good at capturing that feeling of dread in his books and this is no different. The plot twists are definitely there, as he keeps you at the edge of your seat. Definitely gory and intense, so check TWs if you need to!
This dystopian book will keep you hooked, and leave you feeling dazed and dreary. Definitely recommend

Without a purpose or father figure, she is certain Kyle’s penchant for violence will only escalate unless something drastic happens. Mia knows little about the methods used at the grimly titled "Cemetery Camp", but is aware their radical practices have resulted in miraculous turnarounds for even the most troubled teenagers. Could Kyle be another success story? Or will he become the exception that gets buried on the cold graveyard grounds?

Amazing
Revisado: 07-23-23
This book is like a cautionary tale, and it’s so very well written. Aron Beauregard doesn’t disappoint as he lets the reader take a glimpse into the life of a struggling teen. It’s got the twists and turns that you don’t expect, while still giving you just a taste of the depravity that we’re used to from his work.
I normally don’t stick around for the afterwords of stories, but this one is worth a listen. Aron Beauregard has a way of writing that makes you feel as though one minute you’re sitting with him at a coffee shop, shooting the sh*t, and the next you’re taken down a sick, twisted road that leaves you feeling upside down and bewildered when you come out the other side.
If you’re new to Aron Beauregard’s work, and new to Splatterpunk in general, the books in this series are an incredible place to start. It’s best to ease into the genre, so step in if you dare!

Book 2 of the Morbid Curiosities is a thrilling literary work. It’s more fast paced than book 1, and it keeps you anxiously awaiting to see what happens next. Aron Beauregard doesn’t disappoint in this book. The story itself is awesome.
Will definitely be reading again

As the world around him grows more frightening and absurd, he finds himself questioning his sanity. Will the beautiful woman in the frame become his ultimate prize or the instrument of his undoing?

An exciting thriller/mystery with just a dash of gore
Revisado: 07-21-23
Spoiler-free review: If you like Aron Beauregard’s books, you know he doesn’t skimp on the gore, grotesque, and sometimes grungy. But this story is a bit different. There’s definitely still some gore, but it’s “tame” in comparison to other writings he has put out into the world.
Aron describes the book as a nod to the Twilight Zone, and I would agree. I love his fast-paced style of writing and I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.
If you’re new to Aron’s work, and are unsure if you can handle good old-fashioned splatter-punk, give this series a try! It’s a good place to start if you want to ease into the genre :)
The gore is still there, it’s still weird in all the right ways, it’s still Aron-just a new avenue. So, if you’re a long-time fan, you still get the amazing storyline that you’re used to with his work.
Are you feeling “morbidly curious” yet? ;)

Historia
Three low-income families have been given a handsome retainer to join Geraldine Borden for a day at her cliffside estate. All the parents must do to collect the rest of their money is allow their children to test out the revolutionary playground equipment Geraldine has been working on for decades. But there’s a reason the structures in the bowels of her gothic castle have taken so long to develop—they were never meant to see the light of day.

Check trigger warnings
Revisado: 07-18-23
Is it graphic? Yes.
Is it disgusting? At times.
But honestly the writing style the author uses is SO good, it’s worthwhile. Check your trigger warnings before proceeding though. This book isn’t for everyone, this style isn’t for everyone, this author isn’t for everyone. And that’s okay! It’s art, nonetheless.
