Historia
Meet Haskell Hodge. At 16, he’s already garnered some fame as a former child actor and star of a popular cereal commercial. But that doesn’t do much for him when he’s dumped at his aunt’s house in the suburbs of Los Angeles to face an assortment of neighborhood bullies. He thinks he might be gay. In fact, he could be the only gay person in the valley, maybe on the entire planet. Even if he does manage to find a boyfriend, their relationship would have to be secret and invisible.

A Great Listen
Revisado: 06-10-20
While the relationships in the story didn't play out the way I expected them to, I really felt like I was a part of Haskell's life for a short period of time. The narrators voice fits Haskell's personality perfectly and it allowed me dive right in and be along for the ride. I'd highly recommend that everyone takes a listen, even if they already read the book. I'll be looking for other titles from the author Gary Seigel and from the narrator Brian Lore Evans.

Historia
"He's a psycho." That's what Mike is told when he asks who the kid is with the dark swoop of hair and eyes that look like icebergs floating in milk. From that moment, it becomes Mike's mission to find out everything about this kid. The kid who can fight better than anyone, but doesn't want to. The kid who is the greatest artist Mike's ever met. The kid who only wants to be his friend during the lightest days of summer. The kid who tells him that being his friend at school will only ruin Mike's reputation.

Powerful Story and Narration
Revisado: 12-21-19
This is a beautifully written story and Brian Lore Evans does an amazing job narrating. With each chapter, I could feel Ian and Mike getting closer, and that was in large part because of the narration. I'd highly recommend everyone takes a listen, whether you have read the book before or not. I can't wait to hear what comes next of both Chase Connor and Brian Lore Evans!
