Historia
Writer and scholar Manly P. Hall (1901-1990) is one of the most significant names in the study of the esoteric, symbolic, and occult. His legendary book The Secret Teachings of All Ages has been an underground classic since its publication in 1928. The Secret History of America expands on that legacy, offering a collection of Hall’s works - from books and journals to transcriptions of his lectures - all relating to the hidden past and unfolding future of our nation.

It's interesting to note that many of the threads of struggle in 2021 were embedded into the struggles of humanity when the United States was founded. These book is interwoven with the tales of heroes the likes of which we rarely see today. There is a gushing chapter on Albert Pike, for instance, a radiant man with a deep knowledge of life and love of humanity. His statue was torn down during the 2020 riots around the BLM movement. The tales of Hiawatha are also fascinating. His companion, gifted in speech, was a flesh eater, and after they'd found a certain level of success in their journey, he had to vow to stop eating flesh.
During the writing of the declaration of independence, a mysterious figure reportedly showed up, while the founders were on the fence, or their faith was wavering, gave a rousing speech, and vanished, never to be seen again. But the account is in a few separate writings from the time.
All in all, the purpose of the United States for America, at least according to Hall, has been one of spiritual awakening, while under the heel of a gathering darkness.

One of the most inspiring books books for teenager

And adults! I still find this to be a life changing story. I recommend it everywhere I go, because it reminds one what the human spirit is capable of.
Three Cups of Deceit was an expose of some of the inaccuracies of the book, but I don't think it detracts from this story at all. I found it full of vitriol, really.
But this story needs to be read and reread, whether you believe in god or miracles or not: it will make you believe in humans!
