Historia
Only Murders in Gotham, the smash hit streaming show, is famous for filming in authentic New York City locations and using real New Yorkers as extras. For their latest episode, they've chosen to spotlight the century-old Village Blend and its quirky crew of baristas. But when the film crew's week of shooting delivers an actual shooting, coffeehouse manager and master roaster Clare Cosi and her staff find themselves at the scene of a true crime.

Disappointed
Revisado: 02-10-25
Maybe I should have started with an early book by this author, but this one left me flat. As a fan of "Only Murders in the Building" I felt the storyline was more than borrowed from the program and it made me feel as if I were listening to a stolen script.
Even one of the main characters was barely disguised as Steve Martin. One of the scene's was obviously taken from the horrible accident at the movie "Rust" and it felt contrived, as if the author didn't have enough imagination to come up with a new storyline. I may go back and read an earlier book she has written but this one just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It will take a while.

Historia
It’s been an enjoyable and murder-free time for Judith, Suzie and Becks since the events of last year. The most exciting thing on the horizon is the upcoming wedding of Marlow grandee, Sir Peter Bailey, to his nurse, Jenny Page. Sir Peter is having a party at his grand mansion on the river Thames the day before the wedding, and Judith and Co. are looking forward to a bit of free champagne. But during the soiree, there’s a crash from inside the house, and when the Marlow Murder Club rush to investigate, they are shocked to find the groom-to-be crushed to death in his study.

I'm hooked
Revisado: 01-22-25
Nicolette McKenzie is the very best narrator ever for these Marlow audiobooks. She makes the written word come to life and I'm hooked. The author Robert Thorogood is a master of mystery scenarios. I can almost feel the cold water as Judith takes her morning swim. The team of Judith, Suzie and Becks works wonderfully and I can't wait for his next book to come out.

Great if you like cookies
Revisado: 12-08-24
Good book for 16 and under, but lacks depth. If I ate all the cookies, candies, cakes and goodies that was eaten by the heroine, I'd weigh 300 lbs. This was more about her love of food than solving a mystery. Very light storyline.

Historia
Hardly a day goes by when nine-year-old Laurent Lepage doesn't cry wolf. From alien invasions to walking trees to winged beasts in the woods to dinosaurs spotted in the village of Three Pines, his tales are so extraordinary no one can possibly believe him. Including Armand and Reine-Marie Gamache, who now live in the little Quebec village.

Great Narration
Revisado: 06-26-24
Since this was my first Louise Penny novel listened to on audible, I had no way to compare with the former narrator, but found Robert Bathurst to be amazing. Louise Penny has a mind like a Harvard scholar and the intricacies are mind blowing. I found I had to go back and listen to some parts again to make sure I understood, but worth every minute. Great book, amazing narrator. I love Chief Inspector Gamache

Historia
The incomparable master of the legal thriller takes us deeper into the labyrinth that is the American justice system, always drawing us in with an irresistible hook, pulling the thread of tension tighter and tighter, and then knocking us out with a conclusion that's never "by the book". Maybe that's why, after more than 20 years of consecutive number-one New York Times best sellers, a new novel by America's favorite storyteller is still a major publishing event.

Historia
We expect our judges to be honest and wise. Their integrity and impartiality are the bedrock of the entire judicial system. We trust them to ensure fair trials, to protect the rights of all litigants, to punish those who do wrong, and to oversee the orderly and efficient flow of justice. But what happens when a judge bends the law or takes a bribe? It’s rare, but it happens. Lacy Stoltz is an investigator for the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct. She is a lawyer, not a cop, and it is her job to respond to complaints dealing with judicial misconduct.

Revisado: 01-31-23
I've thoroughly enjoyed these books 1-4 and the heroine Annie....good story lines, moves along quickly. Well developed characters and set in an era when women were not taken seriously Annie makes sure she is. It is enjoyable and entertaining without the gore and over the top sex. Nice writing.

Such an immoral and unethical man
Revisado: 06-22-22
Mary Trump has revealed a side of Donald Trump that doesn't surprise me and I only wish that his cult members could see him for who he truly is....a sociopathic, narcissistic, compulsive liar, with no knowledge or ambition to work for this country. So immoral that I can hardly believe so many people are attracted to him. He literally makes me sick to my stomach and his treatment of his own family is enough to make a normal person want to RUN in the other direction if they see him coming.
