Historia
As a thief on the streets of Cairo, Ororo Munroe is an expert at blending in—keeping her blue eyes low and her white hair beneath a scarf. Stealth is her specialty . . . especially since strange things happen when she loses control. Lately, Ororo has been losing control more often, setting off sudden rainstorms and mysterious winds . . . and attracting dangerous attention. When she is forced to run from the Shadow King, a villain who steals people's souls, she has nowhere to turn to but herself.

Character development!
Revisado: 07-21-24
What a great origin story! Makes me want to visit Africa. The story is so vibrant, it was easy to picture the events as they occurred. I wish this was a movie!

It’s like the book Murder on Wheels doesn’t exist in this series. The characters ages are different it’s just disappointing overall and I really love this series.

Missing Pieces
Revisado: 11-03-23
It felt as if I missed an entire book in the series. When did her fiance decide to go on a mission and call off the wedding? The ending was weak as well.

Historia
Driving home from a dinner party in the village of Sumpton Harcourt, Rory and Molly Harris, the new vicar and his wife, strain to see the road ahead - and then suddenly brake, screeching to a halt. Right in front of them, aglow in the headlights, a body hangs from a gnarled tree at the edge of town. An elderly spinster has been murdered - and the villagers are bewildered as to who would commit such a crime. Agatha Raisin rises to the occasion (a little glad for the excitement, to tell the truth, after a long run of lost cats and divorces on the books).

I am a die hard Agatha Raisin fan and love this one as I do the others. I do prefer Penelope Keith and hope she narrates the others.

Historia
Kate Hibbert is all too eager to lend a hand to her neighbors. Although she has been a resident of the sleepy village of Lochdubh for only a year, in that time Kate has alienated one too many of its residents with her interfering—and not entirely well-intentioned—ways. When Kate’s neighbor sees her lugging a heavy suitcase to the bus stop, he hopes that the prying woman is gone for good. But two weeks later, Kate’s cousin arrives in town with the news that Kate has gone missing.

It was good, I miss the interaction with Angela but Hamish is still inquisitive and his love for Lugs and Sonsie is palpable. I know it's not M.C Beaton but it's still worth sticking with.

Historia
Toni and Agatha are in the car on the way to Officer Bill Wong’s long-awaited wedding when, much to their shock, a naked young man bursts through a hedge on the side of the road and comes running toward them. Terrified, he explains that he has just seen a dead body in the woods. Toni lends him an old t-shirt to cover himself, Agatha calls the police, and the young man takes them to the spot where he saw the body, across from a meadow where the Mircester Naturist Club is due to have its annual summer barbecue.

Why Can't Charles Get it Right?
Revisado: 12-27-22
I've loved this series from the beginning! I do want Agatha to find love and since Charles won't man up and James is hopeless, maybe John will be the one for her. I can't wait for the next book!

So Close...
Revisado: 11-04-21
I was so wrapped up in this story, I even vowed to go home and watch Bring it On! You know solidarity and all that. I had loved the first book and pre -ordered this one. Maybe I took it wrong but I have never felt treated better or thought I was better because I am light skinned. Heck, if my life was somehow better because of my skin tone then trust me when I say I never felt that way. I love all my people with our various textures and hues. I believe we are all beautiful, smart, creators of all life. I love Gabrielle and have mad respect for art and thought process, but that little dig hurt.
