Historia
A betrayal he couldn't forget...For Nate Dean, love is a four-letter word. As part of a secret black-ops military unit, he and his brothers were genetically engineered by the government to be ruthless soldiers with an expiration date. They were loyal only to one another...until Nate laid eyes on the woman who stole his heart and blew his world apart. Now, years later, his family is still paying the price for his mistake. But as time runs out, there's only one person who can save his family: The very woman Nate swore he'd never trust again.

Historia
The shots came quickly, silently, and with deadly accuracy. Within seconds, three people were dead at Central Park's ice skating rink. The victims: a talented young skater, a doctor, and a teacher. As random as random can be. Eve Dallas has seen a lot of killers during her time with the NYPSD, but never one like this. After reviewing security videos, it becomes clear that the victims were killed by a sniper firing a tactical laser rifle, who could have been miles away when the trigger was pulled.

JD Robb never disappoints
Revisado: 01-08-25
Great story line. This author never disappoints. Prob one of her better books. Not sure why audible makes you do a 15 word minimum when 4 words says it all. Good grief. Great audible. Get it. You won’t be disappointed

Great series

I’m loving the series. I like the regency era and the narrator and the fact that there are stories without all the detail sex scenes.

Her female characters make me want to tear my heart out with their stupidity!
Revisado: 11-15-20
Every time I start a Julia London novel, I swear I’ll never read another of hers again. The novels all start off wonderfully, but then she turns relationships into the same drama and makes the female character a helpless idiot! I find myself getting so anxious that the book no longer is enjoyable to read, so I skip the stupidity chapters just so I can finish the story. I wonder if Julia London experiences the same relationship problems as her female characters, and writes her stories the way she looks at life? Stop making women so stupid and stop having the man always fix the problem, Julia! You write well but your female characters are always flawed to the point of stupidity and aggravation.

Historia
Lady Madeline Matthews would rather shame herself than sacrifice her freedom – which is why, to avoid a marriage to an aging, lecherous lord, she seeks out the company of Logan Scott. A torrid affair with the notorious womanizer would surely condemn her in the eyes of good society.Though a legend in the bedchamber, Logan is, in truth, an intensely private man tormented by past betrayals. Now a forward little minx is disrupting his life with her vibrant charm and unspoiled beauty, a high-spirited enchantress completely at sea in London’s sophisticated whirl.
