Historia
For over three decades, the great inventor and futurist Ray Kurzweil has been one of the most respected and provocative advocates of the role of technology in our future. In his classic The Age of Spiritual Machines, he argued that computers would soon rival the full range of human intelligence at its best. Now he examines the next step in this inexorable evolutionary process: the union of human and machine.

Ray is a brilliant nut
Revisado: 09-03-12
Yes, we will use technology to make life better - as much as we can but I see that as part of evolution. The thing that Ray ignores in history are the little hiccups (like the dark ages, ice ages, etc...). He thinks that everything will continue accelerating but in history there are these little speed bumps to consider.

Good value in the book, avoid the website
Revisado: 11-04-11
The book is a clear, concise outline for anyone wanting to improve their general business or sales knowledge. In the book he refers to his website and all of the FREE things there but I can tell you from experience that the only thing that is free is the "Newsletter" which is actually just an endless barrage of offers for his paid programs.

Historia
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

Interesting but stupid
Revisado: 08-03-11
The research and data are interesting but his conclusions are dumb. He comes right out and says that he is trying to debunk the "myth" that hard work and good choices bring success and instead tries to reduce all human success to a sort of lottery game.
If he really wanted to discuss "outliers" then perhaps he should have profiled some Canadian hockey players that were born in December and find out why some people that don't fit the profile still succeed.
