The narration of this was wonderful but I really expected to dislike this story because I disliked the main character so much previously. The author really redeemed her for me

I came very close to quitting this book multiple times. It felt like there was no growth to the relationship and it was all just physical. I’m glad that I stuck it out. The last half of the book was wonderful. Getting to witness Garrison open up and allow himself to love and be loved by Poppy was beautiful. I cried multiple times.

A 25 year old acting like a 15 year old is not appealing. Olivia had zero accountability for her own actions and never improved throughout the book. She jumped to conclusions & insulted others while simultaneously playing the victim.

Who trashes someone’s apartment, breaks their belongings, and uses other belongings without permission and then acts as if they are in the right? Olivia does!

Olivia lies about things and then blames everyone else but herself when she is caught.

Collin isn’t great but he, at least, isn’t a child like she is. He seems emotionally immature in some senses but at least tolerable.

Olivia seems to lack basic critical thinking skills & any sort of accountability for her own actions. She gets upset her parents treat her like a child but she’s acting like one.

Constant eye rolls. Oh the constant eye rolls. I was convinced at one point her eyes would just pop out of her head.

The first time I read this book I fell in love with it. Since I decided to go through all the audiobooks I was excited for this one and adult Mia. I really did enjoy this reader but her not giving Grandmere her accent REALLY threw me off. It kind of confused me on dialogue sometimes. I am excited for the next one as I read the postings during the pandemic. I really hope there are more books.

This is my favorite series of books ever. I have all of the physical books, but decided that I wanted to buy the audiobooks. The first three with Anne Hathaway narrating were fantastic. Not just because it was her, and she is who we know as Mia, but her voice was very soothing. This new narrator is…not ideal. I have only purchased the first five books through audible and I think that that will be the only ones that i buy because of the narration
