Very sexist. (not in a good way)

While the book has some good information, the author seems generally biased against men with typical male denegrating stereotypes and generally favorable to women, giving more favorable excuses for otherwise less than moral behavior. For example, most men in this book are assumed to be pedophiles, addicted to sports, lazy, or moochers. Few examples of general negative female stereotypes are given indicating to me a mind that is generally not favorable to men.

Wow! This is not what many men want

From the get go this book raised a red flag. The type of men who will raise loving families and be involved with their wives are not looking for "independent" women who have their stuff figured out. Not because of insecurity but because you can't build a relationship with that.
What the author describes as the ideal woman for most men is what many men run away from or regret marrying later in life.
If a woman wants to be independent, we'll and good. But marriage requires interdependence with both parties willing to be vulnerable and admittedly... needy.

Loved it.
I kept going back in the story to makes sure I got it into my psyche. I plan to listen to it again at least once.
Adam Brown's story is deeply moving, inspirational and daunting. How the author states the facts yet points the story back to Christ is exceptional.
