more of a drama than an exciting action movie.

other books in this series are much better.

narrator is too monotonous, so it's hard to know when an action scene starts.

Great book from IJN point of view.

This was a great book from the Japanese point of view, which not only tells their story but anylises each naval maneuver. I highly recommend this book, I can and listen to this a few more times.

Dont waste your money on this one. Out of all the Star Wars titles i've purchased, this is the worst, and a total disappointment.

The narrator did a great job.

The story line has no foundation. No connection to the characters.

great story
terrible presentaion.
the narrator delivers this story like he was reading testamony.
next time use Johnathan Davis who uses different voices for different charactors, and emulates the charactors excitement and mood.
Micheal Cumpsty made this story very hard to enjoy and follow. i listened to it 5 times before i could wrap my thoughts around it. I had to envision every charactor and emagine how i would have read it in order to absorb and enjoy the story.

good story

Starts off very slow, but midway through develops into an exciting story.
considering that this story of Star Wars is 3500 years before Darth Vader, the Author should have spent more time at the start setting the stage for the time and the actual factions that are fighting for power. You have the Jedi, the Republic forces, the Imperial forces, and the Sith that did the Imperor's bidding, but also has their own parallel agenda.

Great story.
it shows how absolutely brilliant Palpatine was in his deception and manipulation of everyone to cast dought on his competition and rivals, and his patients while others that were manipulated put all the puzzle pieces in place for the take over of the Sith.
