Historia
"Who am I becoming?" That was the question nagging pastor and author John Mark Comer. Outwardly, he appeared successful. But inwardly, things weren’t pretty. So, he turned to a trusted mentor for guidance and heard these words: "Ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. Hurry is the great enemy of the spiritual life." It wasn’t the response he expected, but it was - and continues to be - the answer he needs. Within this audiobook, you’ll find a fascinating road map to staying emotionally healthy and spiritually alive in the chaos of the modern world.

inspiring, funny, wise
Revisado: 01-08-20
Highly recommended in our age of being over busy and distracted. The author is engaging, challenging, and humorous--difficult to pull off all three. My only criticism would be that while the author does an admirable job criticizing Hollywood and the media for inciting unbiblical values, he draws on many of those same shows and programs in his writing and attempts to make it funny or normal. If Hollywood is as soul-killing as the author indicates (and I agree with his assessment) then he should have been more reserved in drawing from a poisoned well. But overall, an excellent book!

a moving story of gratitude and forgiveness
Revisado: 09-01-18
my family and I listened to this audio book in the car. the entire family including all of our children where extremely engaged with the story. It has helped us as a family to be more grateful for the things that we have and to treat one another with kindness. This should be required reading 4 any family or person wanting to grow in gratitude and forgiveness.
