Historia
For decades, Demi Moore has been synonymous with celebrity. From iconic film roles to high-profile relationships, Moore has never been far from the spotlight - or the headlines. Even as Demi was becoming the highest paid actress in Hollywood, however, she was always outrunning her past. Throughout her rise to fame and during some of the most pivotal moments of her life, Demi battled addiction, body image issues, and childhood trauma that would follow her for years - all while juggling a skyrocketing career and at times negative public perception.

Every woman should read this
Revisado: 12-06-23
I loved this book, and I love Demi Moore more now than I did before reading this.
Her story is revealing.... very honest and raw, and eloquently written. You can't help but fall a little bit in love with her, even if you're not already.

Wonderful, heart-breaking and heart-warming
Revisado: 08-26-23
This started out a bit slowly, but as the characters developed and became more complex, it became more engaging. Heartbreaking one minute, and heartwarming the next. All in all, a great story about a family's love and dedication to one another.

I loved listening to the narrator’s perfect southern accent (I’m from KY.) Each character was so well-developed and likable, or not. I could almost smell the evil coming off of Grip Jessup. Well done!!

Love this
Revisado: 02-26-23
It’s wonderful to get lost in a well-written book without trying to work out every twist and turn in an ambiguous, perplexing plot and still be left with an unexpected gift of surprise at the end. Jojo Moyes created each woman’s character to be strong, confident and successful in her own right, yet the point was made that each would accomplish more as they were united by the bond of sisterhood.
narrator did an exceptional job.

Historia
One sunny August afternoon, the residents of Cedar Close throw their annual summer barbecue. Children play in the cherry-tree lined street, tables are laden with food, and the wine is flowing. For Laurie Mills, it’s her first time meeting the neighbours. And it’s the first time she discovers her husband, Robert, is having an affair. Cedar Close has always been a nice place to live - a quiet suburban street where everyone looks out for one another and bad things don’t happen. Until late one evening, when Robert Mills is found dead in his bedroom.
