Historia
Zane was driving home from work when the world changed. Thousands of dungeons spawned at once, taking up every inch of Earth—including the road he’s driving on. He wakes up to a totaled car and a broken leg, facing down a goblin trying to spear him through the guts. And that's just the start of it. But to Zane’s surprise, he finds himself enjoying this brutal new world. While others cower and hide, he goes on the hunt. He unlocks a unique Berserker skill—the more damage he takes, the stronger he gets.

A lot of untruthful reviews...
Revisado: 10-21-24
With all of these 5 star reviews, I will make the assumption that this is the first entry into this genre for all of the people who tossed 5 stars at it. I have no doubt the author is a fan of Defiance of the Fall, Primal Hunter, and Radiddly Ghosthound because this entire book is a combination of ideas and scenarios from all three. The author literally took parts of those series (many of the worst parts), changed names, spells, and areas, and wrote this book.
The main character is a sociopath who has no feelings and wants to fight solo and become OP, but is sometimes drawn into situations where he all the sudden has feelings and works with others. He has zero social skills and is a masochist. Additionally, the dialogue is more basic than a white girl in furry boots drinking a pumpkin spiced latte (sorry ladies). I’m not trying to be a jerk, but it is written in short choppy sentences as you would expect from a middle school essay. I thought maybe just his interaction with people from his past was super cringe, but it turned out to be the dialogue throughout the whole book.
Of course the MC’s ex-girlfriend dumped him before the system arrived for a pushover named “Kale,” and she immediately wants him back when he shows up super strong. The very first "bad guy” he deals with, Brad (because of course his name is Brad), is the extremely cliche high school bully from the past who is the VP for his daddy’s company. And that’s just the beginning.
The narrator is just okay. Not a very broad range of voices/accents that you would find from your favorite LitRPG/Cultivation audiobooks out there, and any female sounds like they’re 10 years old.
Based on these reviews, this is the most amazing book ever, but if you’’re a fan of the aforementioned apocalypse series, or just the genre in general, you will not find anything new. It is literally recycled content from the highest rated series in the same genre with new names and faces. Kudos to the author for writing and selling a book people enjoy, It takes a lot of time and energy to put something like this out; however, it’s way more cut and paste than these reviews would have you believe.

Historia
Fischer has everything he needs in life: blossoming friendships, a menagerie of cute animal companions, a waterfront property with easy access to fishing, and enough coffee to take out a small elephant or a really big dog. Unfortunately, Fischer can’t catch a break. Cosmic forces? Still throwing curveballs. The bigwigs in the capital? Starting to sniff around his business. Cults? Still culting. Plus, awakened beings are washing up on his shores like flotsam after a storm. And worst of all? His coffee guy ghosted him!

Revisado: 07-11-24
This is the first new story that has captured my attention and loyalty in a long time. It has all the potential to take it’s place among the top LitRPG/Cultivation series, especially because it isn’t just “MC gains all the power, MC gets two friends, MC ports all over the universe getting more power through artifacts and potions,” like many other similar stories in the genre. The interaction and mannerisms of the spirit animals is hilarious and endearing, and I had a few LOL or smile to myself experiences while listening to the book. I enjoy all the characters. The king is a little “basic” though, and I’d also like more depth to the MC and his backstory as well; however, it’s an automatic preorder for me as it currently stands.

One hour in and the whole thing is just WTF… Wife dies, system arrives, MC goes full murder hobo with no feelings, and you have no clue what the hell is going on. MC moves location, looks around, and “knowledge poured in.” Umm…knowledge of what exactly?
I’ll keep going and update this review when things make sense. Just a fair warning on the first 7 chapters… It’s screwy so far, and little to no feeling it was actually written by A Kong.

Historia
Out of credits, with trash-tier mods and no hope, Bowdoin Katamari resides at the bottom of the pile in the city of Artem. A place where megacorporations, merc guilds, and inner-city pricks live like royalty while the rest suffer. In spite of his poor prospects, this self-taught hacker does have a few things left. A seething hatred for the upper castes, a mind bursting with plots, and a like-minded crew determined to get ahead.

Revisado: 01-11-24
I’ll admit I found myself zoning out a few times. The story is good, but it’s really hard to understand where it’s going. There was basically three story arcs in one book, but nothing major happens regarding the overall story of “Street Gang versus the Corporations” plot as advertised. I’m interested enough to see where the author will take this; however, only enough to dip one toe in. We’ll see when Part II comes out. Pavi and Rebecca did great as always.

This is a setup book or a place holder while the author continues to write. Just being honest. A huge forward plot is unveiled; however, after the info dump, nothing major happens and then it just ends. I’m not saying don’t buy it. This series is great. I’d just wait until the next book is out and then listen to the two back-to-back to prevent being disappointed.

Heinrich de Gramont's petition to the king to release Max Renard from his duty to serve at Westerly Fort has been signed. Max's debt to the crown has been paid. And now his "doting" uncle expects his wayward and petulant nephew to come to the capital at once so he can be wed to Viscountess Aurelie de Marbot. Max knows there's no getting out of a trip to the capital this time. Also, beyond personal affairs, he has a lot of questions both for his father's brother and a number of maternal relatives.

Not sure what everyone is reviewing...
Revisado: 12-29-23
The first two books were great, but this was nothing but family ties, politics, and arrogance. None of those things by themselves are terrible, in fact, it’s what makes the MC interesting; but again, the whole book is political infighting and family feuds.. There is almost zero action. Not sure why the other reviewers are saying it’s so amazing. I really like Osadchuk’s books, but this one was extremely boring. Maybe that’s why so many reviews say it’s too short (because again, nothing interesting happens). Not sure if it’s a setup book, or the way this series is headed, but I’m honestly tempted to return it, and I’m pretty forgiving. Just not sure….I have 3 hours left, so I’ll edit this if anything of note happens and the story changes, but if this review remains, it means the whole book was as mentioned above.

Meh...
Revisado: 11-01-23
I kept hoping the story would move forward but it just didn’t. Way too much of this story consists of anatomy, and it honestly felt like sitting through an anatomy class with a boring professor (not to mention the science of it was bent to accommodate the story). I like the premise of the story and see where the author was going with it, but it is basically just 16 hours of the wolf figuring out how to manipulate his anatomy to eventually be able to shift into a human form. Good initiative, bad judgement. I get it…You might be a medical professional, you like anatomy, and you tried something different. Small doses of it would be interesting (despite knowing a bunch of it is fictional).
I’m wondering what the world beyond the dungeon is like though, as well as additional characters, their stories, even more about the God’s, seeing as how that’s how the book starts and is the reason for Fleabag’s development.
I might be willing to buy the next book to see where it goes, but not until reviews come in, and I can’t recommend this book until then. That of course is just my opinion, as there are multiple 5 star reviews for this book, so take that as you will. Just be prepared for alot of anatomy manipulation/experimentation with very little story.

3 year wait...
Revisado: 03-24-23
I love this series. I really hope it doesn’t take another 3 years to get 12 hours of book with 4 hours of good combat. I’m cool with the forbidden love story. I’m cool with the ladies loving the MC. I’m cool with basically all of it, except if it’s going to take another 3 years, either ramp up the action, or give us twice the content. Macleod is awesome (he’s also real good in the Cowboy Necromancer series by Harmon Cooper, highly recommend). Thanks for another addition Apollos!

The only bad thing about this book…
Revisado: 01-25-23
I have a love/hate with new audiobook series. Love to find something new and amazing, hate having to wait for the next book and wondering if the sequel will flop or not. I will be preordering Book 2 as soon as it’s available. Andrea Parsneau was casted perfectly for this role. I’m not sure if there’s another female narrator out there that can manage to be an OP female Badass you’d love to hang and have a beer with. Great job, and now I confirmed that a previous series she did that I returned because the female MC was a mental health nightmare was completely on the author.
Anyways, 10/10 would listen again. This was a refreshing take on the OP MC LitRPG genre that’s been getting a lot of traction lately (Unbound, DotF, Primal Hunter, Randiddly Ghosthound, etc).

Tried, but couldn’t finish.
Revisado: 12-06-22
I have and love all of Andrew Rowe’s other stuff, but I couldn’t get through this. The story is probably on par with his other stuff, but the choice to use two very gifted narrators to switch the POV’s back and forth failed since they both narrated the voices for all the characters. I don’t care whether Travis is doing just the male voices and Emily the females, or even if Travis did some of the female voices and Emily some of the males. The problem is they both narrate for every voice.
Example:
The POV is Sage (male). So Travis narrates, but for all characters (including females, like Lani or Emiko), not just Sage.
The POV is Lani (female). So Emily narrates, but for all characters (including males, like Sage).
So the voice of one character dramatically changes to whichever narrator is up for that chapter. I’m not sure why Andrew went this way with the narration, but it fails and makes it too hard to stay engaged. I won’t be following this part of the world he’s built.
