warning to any potential buyers. we tryed to warn them in the last books reviews. Against the readers wishes, the readers go back and forth each few chapters. it's very annoying and breaks the story continuity. Travis as always didn't excellent job reading the story, the female reader was also good, but having the reader swap over and over, the same characters having diffrent voices constantly is a terrible choice. I'm sure she is cheaper that Travis to have read your books and they don't have to wait the Travis's long list of books each year to release the story. but honestly I'd rather just wait if if could just be only Travis reading. He has read over ten books in the series and this late into the series it is a poor choice to switch readers. come on Turtle Me, Travis is one of the highest rated readers for a reason, stick with him, listen to your customers man, pease. the story so far is very very good and I love your work, but this is just extremely annoying and very much ruins the experience.

I have absolutely loved this series. honestly one of my favorites of all time, I recommend it to anyone who will listen. but honestly this book, knight of shadows, was her worst work yet. had almost nothing to do with the MC. and the story progressed poorly. it feels like kel can't write her book the way she wants to. it was full of boring junk and left off on a weird place. I feel that because she signed with someone instead of self publishing l, he's quality dropped. because of my live for the series so far, I will buy and listen to the next book, but if it to is lazy and poorly written as far as story line goes, I'm afraid I'll have to drop the series and stop recommending it. sad really. it honestly is an excellent book series. I truly hope the next installment is back up to her standards of writing. ps Nick podehl as in all of his books, did an excellent
job. he got a Few names diffrent than how he pronounced befor in previous books and that's fine, a bit annoying but I understand, not a big deal. he delivers great voices and well read books. Kel Kade, please please please don't let this publisher ruin your master piece of kings dark tidings. And if it's not them, then like I said I will still get the next book. I just hop it goes back to the well written masterpiece series it is.

The double narrator idea was horrible.

so, I've loved all of this series so far, and this books story is extremely good, can't wait for the next. However please for love of god,, don't use 2 narrators again, it really breaks the atmosphere of the story. Travis has been the one reading all of the series and dose an amazing job with all of the voices, why would you ruin that by adding another voice. now you have many charters that are one person each, being voiced by two very different voices. this effect is annoying, and breaks the flow of the story.

I love the series, however...

the series over all is exelent, but this book i put down and picked up over and over, way way to much blah blah blah, talk talk talk for about 3/4 of the book no action or anything interesting. the narrator is...okay. i truly hope the next book is better, all this series has going for it is mostly just good action, so a book in a series about action, that has no action is incredibly boring. I will still buy the next book that comes out, but if it is similar to this, this i will be dropping the series, what a shame. i would still recommend the previous books to this point, they are above average for this genre.

it was....okay.

so iv listed to all the books so far because i was bord. the storyline is basic but good. characters are all written fairly okay. i wish however that the LGBT parts of the book were not in it. the lgbt parts add nothing to the story, and is honestly just annoying and feel like a waist of time. also threwout all the books the auther dedicated massev parts of the story to just reading out stats of characters and nothing else. at one point in this book the author litteraly spent about 5 min of time just repeating the exact same sentence. very annoying. over all migjt be worth a crdit if bord, but i would not waist money on it.

iv loved all the books so far and cant wait for the next one!!! if you love litrpg/cultivation but not quite either, you will LOVE THIS BOOK SERIES.
