Historia
Some say that this work, found in a safe-box in the port area of Kowloon, was dictated because Bronze Age Pervert refuses to learn what he calls "the low and plebeian art of writing". It isn't known how this work was transcribed. The contents are pure dynamite. He explains that you live in ant farm. That you are observed by the lords of lies, ritually probed. Ancient man had something you have lost: confidence in his instincts and strength, knowledge in his blood. BAP shows how the Bronze Age mind-set can set you free from this iron prison and help you embark on the path of power.

This Mom found BAP to be a unique welcoming voice in the age of conformity
Revisado: 10-23-19
Internet consensus claims BAP is a dangerous Alt_R screed guilty not just by associations but of every ism, one giant trigger warning needed just to look at the cursed cover. Kindle sample indicated the author is well read likely traveled & consumed the works Nietzsche naturally I had to use my latest audible credit for this book if only just to protect my children from these thought crimes. Narrator was a perfect choice, deep manly voice for manly screed.
Introducing people to foreknowledge ancient ways thoughts philosophies; piquing interest in real things expanding one’s knowledge, challenging (post)modern orthodoxy be your best these are good things. BAP is however irritating undefinable & will bother you for some time after consuming you likely will be back for more.

Superb first hand documented account of the Third Reich
Revisado: 01-07-19
There is simply no better book on WW2 Hitler's Rise & Fall than this book by William Shirer. Mr Shirer was an American journalist stationed in Germany during WW2, his account while often first hand, is sourced from a trove of documents taken by allied troops at the close of the war. There is simply no better documented unbiased history than Shirer's accounts in this book.
This high quality audible production features the talented orator Grover Gardner, over 57 hours he walks you through Hitler's political rise in post WW1 Germany. Mr Gardner does an excellent job with the challenging historical material presented in this text. I highly recommend this book on audible, I'd owned the book itself for years never had the time to get through it & audible made it easy.

Interesting & entertaining Chinese mystery series produced by BBC radio
Revisado: 10-09-18
BBC full cast radio production of the Inspector Chen Mysteries, 9 mysteries to be exact, lived up to BBC radio standards & were a delightfully entertaining listen. Qiu Xiaolong's Inspector Chen Mystery book series was well interpreted for live radio & offers a unique rare glimpse of China's culture and local policing while following the standard English mystery book format. The Inspector Chen character reminds me of PD James Adam Dagliesh, only Inspector Chen's passion for poetry is constrained by Party Politics. I highly recommend this audiobook for mystery lovers for BBC radio production fans and anyone looking for something unique.

Fr. Robert Barron's comprehensive work goes straight to the core of the Catholic faith. He first examines the foundations of Christ's incarnation, life and ministry, and then works through the essentials of the Catholic tradition: from sacraments, worship and prayer, to Mary and the saints, and on to salvation, heaven and hell. Throughout this epic journey, Fr. Barron uses art, literature, personal stories, Scripture, theology, philosophy and history to present a complete picture of the Church to the world.

This audio book is fabulous, I've now listened to it several times and have found a new gem of history or wisdom each time. If you're Catholic don't pass this up but this book would be valuable to anyone and everyone interested in Catholic study.

Historia
The Pax Britannica trilogy is Jan Morris’s magnificent history of the British Empire from 1837 to 1965. Huge in scope and ambition, it is always personal and immediate, bringing the story vividly to life. Pax Britannica, the second volume, is a snapshot of the Empire at the Diamond Jubilee of 1897. It looks at what made up the Empire —from adventurers and politicians to communications and infrastructure, as well as anomalies and eccentricities.

Impressive beautiful edifying body of work. Jan Morris Pax Britannica is the single most beautiful love letter to a nation and it's history I've ever had the pleasure to read. Roy McMillan is by far my favorite narrator, the job he did on this added to this historical work. I've read and listened to this now several times in fact all in the series which I believe is a must read/listen for lovers of history & those lovers of queen and country.
