Historia
For five grand a month and a million-dollar chaser, Roger Mulligan didn't care how crazy the old geezer was. All he had to do was keep Joseph Perry Shackleford alive and keep him from squandering the estate for a year. But they didn't tell him about the pixies.

Best modern day wizard book I've read in a very long time! It started well and remained engaging through the entire book! If I could give more stars, I would! 5+++++++

At Butler House, a series of grisly murders over a century have led many to believe it's haunted. To one scientist, it's the perfect place for an experiment in fear. Eight people, each chosen because they lived through a terrifying experience, are offered a million dollars to spend one night at Butler House. They can take whatever they want with them - religious items, survival gear, and weapons. All they need to do is last the night. But there is something evil in this house. Something very evil...and very real.

Horror with a good story
Revisado: 09-24-21
I loved this book b/c it was scary but still had an engaging story to it. There's so many books (and movies) nowadays that are all blood and gore with no in depth storyline. This is NOT one of those books. I'm definitely going to try more from this author.

Historia
Seventeen-year-old Aussie Che Taylor loves his younger sister Rosa. But he's also certain that she's a diagnosable psychopath - clinically, threateningly, dangerously. Recently Rosa has been making trouble, hurting things. Che is the only one who knows; he's the only one his sister trusts. Rosa is smart, talented, pretty, and very good at hiding what she is and the violence she's capable of. Their parents, whose business takes the family from place to place, brush off the warning signs as Rosa's "acting out".

AMAZING!!
Revisado: 09-04-21
When reading the description of this book, I thought: What an interesting concept. Then, once I began listening, I enjoyed the narrator and my interest was peaked even more. Now, having finished it, I can honestly say it's probably one of my favorites that I've heard on Audible. This is actually the first time I've ever written a review. I've rated books, but never felt compelled to really say anything about any before. This was an AWESOME experience and I was sad that it was over! I did wish it had ended differently, but only because I was rooting for the main character so much! It's also the first book that I've listened to and was into the story so deeply that I was yelling, Nooooo!, at times. Kudos to the author and narrator! FANTASTIC job!

Not your typical tragic thriller!
Revisado: 05-02-21
I don't usually write reviews. I will rate books but this is the first time I've actually written a review. I had to, for this book because it was so incredible! It starts out making you feel like you know everything that's going on, and may even seem, to some, to be another book about a broken woman and the tragic experiences she's had. Don't let that dissuade you, though because you quickly discover that there's a bit more to what's happening than meets the eye, (or ear if you're listening to it). I also liked the fact that it doesn't have the typical ending, with everyone happily riding off into the sunset, not to spoil it and say it has a sad ending because it doesn't. Trust me, this book is worth the money or credit or whatever! I love Imogen Church's narration, which is actually the reason I bought it to begin with. The man, can't remember his name, I wasn't that crazy about. He has a great narrator's voice, but something about the way he read just didn't settle right with me. I actually stopped listening for a while when it got to his part. I picked it back up a few weeks later and I'm so glad I did!

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.
