Historia
When Michael Lewis first met him, Sam Bankman-Fried was the world’s youngest billionaire and crypto’s Gatsby. CEOs, celebrities, and leaders of small countries all vied for his time and cash after he catapulted, practically overnight, onto the Forbes billionaire list. Who was this rumpled guy in cargo shorts and limp white socks, whose eyes twitched across Zoom meetings as he played video games on the side?

Historia
In The Accidental Superpower, international strategist Peter Zeihan examines how geography, combined with demography and energy independence, will pave the way for one of the great turning points in history, and one in which America reasserts its global dominance. No other country has a greater network of internal waterways, a greater command of deepwater navigation, or a firmer hold on industrialization technologies than America.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Decent story but not my cup of tea
Revisado: 08-31-23
I read this book because my wife wanted to read a book with me and I let her choose. Being American, I knew hardly anything about the Royal family prior to reading this book, and while I can emphasize with Prince Harry's struggles, this book did not leave me wanting to know more about the king and queen. Well written and very detailed if you are interested in the subject matter. Best part was when he talked about his time in the military.

Historia
As night fell on 15 August 2021, the Taliban entered Kabul, capital of Afghanistan. After a 20-year conflict with the United States, its Western allies and a proxy Afghan government, the Islamic militant group once aligned with al Qaeda was about to bury yet another foreign foe in the graveyard of empires. And for the US, the superpower, this was yet another foreign disaster. As cities and towns fell to the Taliban in rapid succession, Western troops and embassy staff scrambled to flee a country of which its government had lost control.

A New Lens of Perspective
Revisado: 04-07-23
Great overview and cultural perspective of the events that led up to and proceeded the August Taliban takeover of Kabul. The names and storylines were slightly difficult to follow and keep straight in the beginning but concluded well by the Epilogue. Journalism well done.

Fantastic Book
Revisado: 07-31-22
I did not expect this book to be great due to the low number of reviews, but was very impressed by it. Parenting is a very polarizing topic, however, this book takes a very scientific, methodical approach to analyzing strategies that have worked for successful individuals. I appreciate the way it was written including many intriguing tales of parents raising kids along with a focused narrative on similarities between the different cases. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for advice on parenting, especially individuals of diverse backgrounds and upbringings. The audio performance could use some work through as the dramatizations of the different characters was overly exaggerated and detracted from the overall quality of the content.
