Historia
In 1982, the famous paranormal expert Grant Peters went missing while filming his TV show Legendary Australia. His wife, Melissa, was never able to find him. When Melissa herself disappears nearly 40 years later, her daughter, Fiona, and grandson Ethan trace her to the small outback town of Boulia. There they discover a collection of old audio tapes that Melissa left behind: a set of clues they must follow if they’re to solve this mystery in time.

Cannot recommend
Revisado: 08-30-20
Although the story is good enough to keep you interested, the sounds quality is poor, your one ear is deafened by one voice and your other hear can’t hear the other voices. If you listen to audible through your car speakers, don’t even bother.
A possibly good story ruined by poorly executed sound recordings.

Historia
After the Final War, after the appearance of the Bug aliens and their enforced peace, Shining Smith is still alive, still doing business from the old scrapyard bequeathed to her by her father. But Shining is now something more than human. And the scrapyard is no longer just a scrapyard, but a place full of secrets. This life she has built, while empty, is predictable and safe. Until the only friend left from her previous life shows up, dead, in the back of a scrapped Tesla warplane. Clutched in her cold fingers is a note to Shining - warning her of a coming attack.

Good Listen
Revisado: 01-31-20
The narration by Khristine Hvam was the cherry on top with this audiobook.
A fresh take on the post apocalyptic genre with plenty of room for a sequel en hopefully a prequel. Can recommend to anyone interested in sci-fi.

Assume nothing, question everything. This is the message at the heart of Freakonomics, Levitt and Dubner's rule-breaking, iconoclastic book about crack dealers, cheating teachers and bizarre baby names that turned everyone's view of the world upside-down and became an international multi-million-copy-selling phenomenon.

A quirky and interesting view on how the world works.
I read this book after discovery the treasure trove of hundreds of freakonomics podcasts. And it delivered with more of the same, clever research about arbitrary topics that keeps you interested.

Exquisite
Revisado: 01-16-20
As David Attenborough says, this is indeed the greatest story ever told. A beautifully narrated tale of the evolution of all animals told chronologically from the beginning of time up to today, covering all living thing, why they are the way they are and why they do what they do. As with all of his books and shows you are guaranteed to learn something new through his interesting tales of weird and wonderful creatures and their quirky behaviours.
David’s narration takes this book to a whole new level and could not have been more perfect.

Historia
Creating superior intelligence would be the biggest event in human history. Unfortunately, according to the world's pre-eminent AI expert, it could also be the last. In this groundbreaking book on the biggest question facing humanity, Stuart Russell explains why he has come to consider his own discipline an existential threat to his own species, and lays out how we can change course before it's too late. There is no one better placed to assess the promise and perils of the dominant technology of the future than Russell, who has spent decades at the forefront of AI research.

Fantastic Listen
Revisado: 01-08-20
A beautifully delivered narration of a great book. Stuart provides a clear understanding of the origins of AI, why we need to control its development and in trying to explain the problems with developing a general AI system actually gives a very detailed description of what makes us human and why it would be extremely difficult to emulate intelligence.
A very good listen and would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in computer science, AI, philosophy or the future of technology.
