Historia
Andrew Wiggin is told that he can no longer live on Earth, and he realizes that this is the truth. He has become far more than just a boy who won a game: he is the Savior of Earth, a hero, a military genius whose allegiance is sought by every nation of the newly shattered Earth Hegemony. He is offered the choice of living in isolation on Eros, at one of the Hegemony's training facilities, but instead the 12-year-old chooses to leave his home world and begin the long relativistic journey out to the colonies.

OK I suppose, but it's more like 3 short stories compressed into one book. It gets you invested in 3 major plots that don't entirely resolve. Emails were *so* long! Decent overall.

Historia
Most children go through a dinosaur phase. Learning all the tongue-twisting names, picking favourites based on ferocity, armour, or sheer size. For many kids this love of ‘terrible lizards’ fizzles out at some point between starting and leaving primary school. All those fancy names slowly forgotten, no longer any need for a favourite. For all those child dino fanatics who didn’t grow up to become paleontologists, dinosaurs seem like something out of mythology. They are dragons, pictures in books, abstract, other, extinct.

A book about birds
Revisado: 08-03-19
Not terrible but not terribly exciting either. If you're looking for a fascinating book about fearsome dinosaurs, look elsewhere.

Historia
Two men, each handsome and unusually adept at his chosen work, embodied an element of the great dynamic that characterized America’s rush toward the twentieth century. The architect was Daniel Hudson Burnham, the fair’s brilliant director of works and the builder of many of the country’s most important structures, including the Flatiron Building in New York and Union Station in Washington, D.C. The murderer was Henry H. Holmes, a young doctor who, in a malign parody of the White City, built his “World’s Fair Hotel” just west of the fairgrounds.

Wonderful account with too many details
Revisado: 07-26-19
By the time I got to the end of the book, half the epillogue was unrecognizable, way too many characters were presented early in the book and barely mentioned throughout. This my only complaint, the rest of the book was thrilling, disturbing and satisfying. Recommended read.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Gripped me hard
Revisado: 07-12-19
Minor spoilers - if you liked Lala Land you'll probably find this book enthralling. This is the first Stephan King novel I've read and if the rest of them engage me half as much as this did I'll keep going through all of them. I won't speak for the ending but the entire story arc is heartbreakingly tragic. It's one of those that stays with you a few days.
