Historia
Entering the world of conspiracy theories and secret societies is like stepping into a distant, parallel universe where the laws of physics have completely changed: black means white, up is down, and if you want to understand what's really going on, you need a good reference book. That's where Conspiracy Theories & Secret Societies for Dummies comes in. Whether you're a skeptic or a true believer, this fascinating guide, packed with the latest information, walks you through some of the most infamous conspiracy theories - such as Area 51 and the assassination of JFK.

The title should be "Written by dummies"!

Great baseline, but Dismissive.
Revisado: 12-30-19
This is a decent introduction to the world of conspiracy theories at large. But it definitely takes the standpoint that the vast majority are false. The authors seem to cherry pick facts to fit their assumptions. It doesn't help that the narrator also adopts a dismissive, smug tone.

Historia
A fabulously entertaining audiobook from the ultimate authority on those almost believable tales that always happen to a "friend of a friend". Alligators in the sewers? A pet in the microwave? A tragic misunderstanding of the function of cruise control? No, it didn't really happen to your friend's sister's neighbor: It's an urban legend. And no matter how savvy you think you are, you are sure to find in this collection of more than 200 tales at least one story you would have sworn was true.

Boring As for other Books
Revisado: 03-08-19
I was looking for a book about Urban Legends. Instead a bit a catalog of the author's other writings. It's OK if your just looking for a shallow collect of urban legends. But if your looking for more skip it.

Historia
In the book, John Keel displays the keen observational skills and investigative tenacity that made him the enfant terrible of ufology for decades. In this no-holds-barred analysis - much of it written decades ago - Keel shreds many of the sacred-cow beliefs still held in ufological and cryptozoological circles today and presents theories so radical that they are only now becoming accepted: the 4-D or interdimensional thesis; the breakaway civilization theory; the possible role of ancient aliens in human history....

It's more like 9 hours of bashing NICAP.
Revisado: 08-28-18
I was hoping that this was going more about technical advice about investigations or anecdotal stories about his own research and investigations. That is what I hoped. Instead this was mostly 9 hours of bashing NICAP. Also their are these weird gaps of dead audio. You can tell that this was converted from multiple cassettes and not done all that well.

Historia
In the chaos following World War II, the US government faced many difficult decisions, including what to do with the Third Reich's scientific minds. These were the brains behind the Nazis' once-indomitable war machine. So began Operation Paperclip, a decades-long, covert project to bring Hitler's scientists and their families to the United States. Many of these men were accused of war crimes, and others had stood trial at Nuremberg; one was convicted of mass murder and slavery.

Ok. time of technical problems.
Revisado: 03-13-18
I've knew a little bit about this before I read this book, it was pretty good. I only have two big critical about the book. I think that it jumps around too much and I found myself losing the narrative from time to time. The biggest issue I had was the quality of the download, it kept constantly replaying old chapters in a loop. Now I've tried this on different devices and respecting it over again and it didn't fix the issues.
