Historia
Emrael Ire saved his brother and thwarted the Fallen God once, but in so doing has put himself and his followers in peril. Their daring rescue has ignited a war with the United Provinces and their sinister Malithii allies. Facing vastly superior numbers, Emrael launches a bold military offensive, striking at the heart of the provinces. If his people are to avoid annihilation, they must first liberate his ancestral homeland of Iraea and convince the people to fight at his side. Emrael’s true battle is against the Fallen God himself. But how does one fight a god with seemingly limitless power?

Amazing
Revisado: 01-08-25
This second book is so good, I couldn't stop listening. I read the first book pretty close to when it came out and had a generally positive opinion of it. My feeling coming out of this one though was definitely higher. For someone that goes through a lot of books the recap at the start was really helpful.
This book focused a lot on military strategy and tactics with some political maneuvering thrown in. I often find battles to drag on in fantasy series but they were pretty fast paced here and didn't get bogged down with too many details. I liked that plenty of named characters died and its incredibly hard to know who the main character can trust. It added a ton of suspense.

Satisfying End to a Great Series
Revisado: 07-29-23
I really liked all 3 books and the ending to the series was satisfying. The series overall had a great mix of mystery, world building and character development/interactions. Another reviewer mentioned homosexuality making it not family friendly when there's torture, rape, slavery and brutal descriptions of violence throughout the whole series. The sex alluded to isn't even graphic and more often than not is heterosexual. I really like all the narrators except for the one who voiced Kamali who wasn't terrible, just not quite as good as the others.

Historia
Men do not become mystics. They become warriors. But eighteen-year-old Salo has never been good at conforming to his tribe’s expectations. For as long as he can remember, he has loved books and magic in a culture where such things are considered unmanly. Despite it being sacrilege, Salo has worked on a magical device in secret that will awaken his latent magical powers. And when his village is attacked by a cruel enchantress, Salo knows that it is time to take action.

Interesting world and great characters!
Revisado: 07-29-23
The world in this series is really interesting and I loved the characters. It started a bit on the slow side but definitely picked up and I couldn't stop once I got halfway through.

Historia
Hello stranger, my name is Tal, and I’m not an adventurer—those people are crazy. I’m just a sorcerer who is masquerading as a wizard. Oh, and I’m searching for answers about my parents’ mysterious deaths. Also monsters and other foes seem to show up wherever I go. All right, I see it. My new traveling companions are seasoned adventurers and are teaching me their ways—or at least they were before something happened to Time.

Great

I really liked this book. It had a good balance of world building, mystery and humor. I liked the other characters a lot as well although I wish they had a bit more page time.

Really Good
Revisado: 11-15-22
I've had this on my wish list for a while and was hesitant to get it due to the lowish number of reviews and I also generally don't like kids or teenagers as the main protagonists. Overall an amazing book, great characters that you love and hate, sometimes at the same time. Really interesting universe and concepts.
