Who am I? I've forgotten the answer to that question long ago. Ever since I ran from that house, so desperate to escape, I left with only the clothes on my back and socks on my feet. After that day, I've only ever walked in stolen shoes.

Overdone light porn

It’s boring even with its overly drawn-out ‘romantic’ content. Goes well beyond a buildup of anticipation.

Conceptually it may have been a good idea but the actual delivery of the high-level idea falls really short. Snooze

Perhaps this book needs to be listened in a dedicated sitting but for those who may listen in parts, it’s very hard to follow. Sadly I really wanted it to be good

Historia
With nearly a century of life behind her, Stella Levi had never before spoken in detail about her past. Then she met Michael Frank. He came to her Greenwich Village apartment one Saturday afternoon to ask her a question about the Juderia, the neighborhood in Rhodes where she’d grown up in a Jewish community that had thrived there for half a millennium. Probing and courageous, candid and sly, Stella is a modern-day Scheherazade whose stories reveal what it was like to grow up in an extraordinary place in an extraordinary time—and to construct a life after that place has vanished.

Informative and hopeful
Revisado: 03-21-17
If you could sum up The Body Keeps the Score in three words, what would they be?
beyond trauma toward health
What did you like best about this story?
I liked how the information was presented in layman's terms and how it was threaded together across the various sciences. It was easy to follow and understand. The information also was good because it provided actionable behaviors that are attainable.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Rodeo Grace Garnet lives alone, save for his old dog, in a remote corner of Arizona known to locals as the Hole. He doesn't get many visitors, but a body found near his home has drawn police attention to his front door. The victim is not one of the many illegal immigrants who risk their lives to cross the border just south of the Hole, but is instead a member of one of the local Indian tribes.

Endless descriptions and horrible dialogue.
Revisado: 02-09-16
What would have made Bad Country better?
What would have made Bad Country better is a lot less description of things that really do not matter. The dialogue of "Friend" and "Brother" was very much over used. And then people just kept talking well past the intent or the point of discussion. it was painful.
What was most disappointing about C. B. McKenzie’s story?
the dialogue and the over use of descriptions.
What character would you cut from Bad Country?
All of them except the lead. I liked Rodeo. He didn't speak much.
Any additional comments?
if the intent was to make a reader NOT like anyone but the lead character, then the author did a great job. The author also did a good job in closing out loose ends. but boy-oh-boy brother, there were so many times during the reading that I found myself wishing the script would end and put me out of my misery. Descriptions of places and things that go well past usefulness and interest coupled with dialogue that is a bit like nails on a chalk board.

After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.
