Historia
Thomas McNulty, having fled the Great Famine in Ireland and now barely 17 years old, signs up for the US Army in the 1850s and with his brother in arms, John Cole, goes to fight in the Indian Wars - against the Sioux and the Yurok - and, ultimately, in the Civil War. Orphans of terrible hardships themselves, they find these days to be vivid and alive, despite the horrors they see and are complicit in. Moving from the plains of Wyoming to Tennessee, Sebastian Barry's latest work is a masterpiece of atmosphere and language.

A little corner of the Wild West
Revisado: 08-03-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes! Mid 19th century US history mixed with romantic and non-romantic love. While some reviewers believe that the main characters are anachronistic, they aren't. Love is love!
What other book might you compare Days Without End to and why?
Oddly, Outlander (minus the time travel of course) in the descriptions of battles and farm life.
What does Aidan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Pronunciation of many Irish slang words
If you could take any character from Days Without End out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Handsome John Cole because he doesn't say much but when he does, it's quite passionate.

JCP + Gomez Pugh = my favorite audiobook series
Revisado: 12-06-15
If you could sum up GhosTV in three words, what would they be?
Convoluted, mysterious, fun
Who was your favorite character and why?
Vic is the easy choice, but Jacob is becoming less of a psy-groupie now. Plus the two of them together...RAWR
Which character – as performed by Gomez Pugh – was your favorite?
Vic...the deadpan is perfect. I also have kudos for Lisa.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, and I did...sort of. I listened to it as I drove it to and from my vacation spot.

Any additional comments?
This audiobook was a gift from the author, and I'm so thankful. My heart hurt in so many places, but I like how the MCs dug into themselves (with lots of encouragement from each other) to improve their own lives. Also, as with Dance, I like that the MCs were not GFY nor hyper masculine.

Historia
Three lovers who stalk and kill the immortals that drift through South Florida (tourists are a moveable feast, after all) are living a simple life of leisure- until one of them is nearly killed by a woman who is a new kind of lethal. When Ring Hardigan isn't making sandwiches for, and with, his two partners, Waleska and Risa (they're cool like that), he's got a busy schedule doing the dirty work of sending immortals to the ever after.

Great start to a series
Revisado: 05-31-14
What made the experience of listening to The Forest Bull the most enjoyable?
The actor was able to make each character distintictive...and there were a LOT of characters!
What other book might you compare The Forest Bull to and why?
Not a book, but it reminded me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Group effort on mist tasks, but unlike Buffy, all three members had otherworldly fighting skills.
Which character – as performed by Rebecca Cook – was your favorite?
Risa, because the female voices were easier on the ears. Had the actor been male, definitely Ring.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Living and fighting the world's baddies together!
Any additional comments?
Definite change of pace from my usual romance reading, but quite enjoyable nonetheless.
