Julie Andrews is the classiest woman on earth.

Not surprising that the narration was delightful perfection. It's like a childhood dream come true to listen to her recount her experiences playing Mary Poppins. It confirmed things that I hoped were true. The same goes for learning about her relationships with Walt Disney, Dick VanDyke, Carol Burnett and many others. She is honest about challenges in her life while still retaining her positive outlook. I will most likely listen to it again (and again) and buy the hardback version. I bought the hardback version for a friend and was delighted to see the pictures included. What a beautiful life she is leading.

Very enjoyable!

I got the book because it was the daily deal and I love Graham Norton as a talk show host. I hadn't heard anything about his writing, but thought I would give it a try. I'mglad I did! It kept me very interested and he did an excellent job narrating. I will be checking out more of his work now!

Interesting and entertaining story and characters

I thoroughly enjoyed the story - on par with the Joseph O'Loughlin series. Narration was excellent. Remarkable job on the female characters. Also, having just listened to a book with poor sound editing, I appreciated the high quality of sound engineering in this audiobook.

Incredible story masterfully performed.

What a journey this man has been through. Not having any of these struggles in my life, it was an excellent reminder to me that we usually don't know what makes people behave the way they do. His story reminded me to show kindness to those who probably need it most, avoid knee-jerk judgement and remember that all of our experiences are different. Thank you for that, Mr. Hammond!
It was also fun to hear some behind-the-scenes SNL stuff. I promise, should I ever get the chance to meet him, I will not ask him to do the Clinton voice.
The only bad thing about it was the sound editing. I admit I don't know how to do sound editing, but I could hear just about every pick-up. In the interview at the end, he mentioned how many there were and I thought, "Yep. That's about how many I heard." Don't let that discourage you from the book, though. The story and performance make up for it.

Tom Wolfe's writing is so engaging. Dennis Quaid was the absolute best choice for narrator. I truly enjoyed it!!

The story kept me engaged and the narration was very professional. For me, the best narration is when I don't notice the narrator. He made the story the star without sacrificing emotion. He had a great story to read, too. I hated hitting pause on this one!

What an incredible life Cupcake Brown has had. I listened to 5 hours the first day. The performance was perfection. I agree with other reviewers that it really seemed like the author was reading it. She seemed so connected to the story. Loved every minute of it.
