Loved this fun and emotional intro to this series

This was a fun and emotional little series intro, and I already can’t wait to go back to Olive Township.

Penn has come back to the town he grew up in. He left when he was 13, and that was also the last time he saw his childhood sweetheart, Daisy, whom he has just found out is now engaged to a guy he hates…And nobody recognizes him because he’s changed so much.

I’ll be honest, I did have to suspend some disbelief that no one would recognized him, especially Daisy, even if he had grown up and filled out since he left. But, once I got over that, I had a really fun time with this one.

The banter between these two was really fun, especially when it would get flirty. I also really loved the side characters and the dynamics between all of them definitely has me excited to come back and get all their stories.

Do be aware that there is a plot line having to do with an ill/dying parent that really got the waterworks going for me. Just a heads up if that is something you are sensitive to at the moment. 🙏

Audiobook notes: Duet narration! I don’t think I’d previously listened to either of these narrators before but I was very impressed, especially with Hannah Chiclana’s narration; the emotion really came through in some tough scenes that definitely got the tears flowing. 😢

I cannot tell you how much I loooved the infertility rep in this one! How many times have I read a book where the FMC mentions that she’s infertile, only for her to end up pregnant by the end of a book? Thanks, I hate it!

But oh what a breath a fresh air this one was! 🥰

A.J. was an amazing FMC! She’s a 40 year old divorcee, successful GM of this team, oh, and McCabe has only had a crush on her for 10 years!

McCabe has recently become a single dad to an adorable baby, and I loved how A.J. and her were thrown together, and loved the relationship they built.

Enemies to lovers vibes, forced proximity, secret relationship, and the spice was very spicy; there were just so many things I loved about this one.

I loved it so much I just had to purchase a trophy for my shelf! 😍

This is book 3 in this 𝘉𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘙𝘦𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘴 series. Having not read any of the previous book in this series, I can vouch that this one can definitely be read as a standalone.

Beginning of a new favorite series

Oh my goodness! I absolutely loved this one! Already obsessed with this series, and this is only book 1!

Mollie has come to Hartsville, TX as she assumes she’ll be inheriting her estranged father’s cattle ranch, but finds out there’s a stipulation that she’ll need to live on said ranch for 1 year before she can fully own it. Her new foreman, Cash, is none to pleased to welcome this “city girl”, as this is his and his family’s home, and he doesn’t want to see it sold out from under them.

The banter was so good between these two, sending insults back and forth, which quickly became more and more flirty as we went along. They also had so many tender moments together, which really got me feeling some things (especially as a child of divorced parents who absolutely *hates* hearing disparaging comments made by either parent about the other. 🙉)

My favorite part of the story was seeing Mollie come back and embrace her roots on the ranch, kind of falling for the ranch just as much as she was falling for Cash. 🥰

I’m already loving all the side characters, and dying to see more of Cash’s brothers in future books. 👀

Such a fun, engrossing, sexy, cowboy romance bringing me all the feels; what’s not to love!

Audiobook notes: Stephen Dexter is a favorite narrator of mine, and I loved his Texan accent in this one! Lila Winters also did a fantastic job with her accent. Fabulous audio!

Amazing Mafia Romance

Hi. Hello there. Just coming back after being completely absorbed by this book, and I was completely unprepared for it to end in a cliffhanger! 😩

Guinevere’s dream trip to Italy starts off in the worst way, until she is rescued by a hot, super rich, mysterious Italian man, Raffa, and suddenly all her plans are thrown out the window.

Raffa! I loved him. A dangerous man, living a violent life. In walks Guinevere and lights up his world. 🥰 The way he cares for Guinevere was absolutely beautiful. He had me swooning throughout.

I loved Guinevere’s journey of exploration, as she gets to know Italy, Raffa, and herself. I also really loved the setting of Tuscany/Florence; Giana had me feeling like I was really there.

The chemistry between these two was absolutely scorching…and the spice…hoo 🥵.

I cannot wait to continue on with this series, as I can’t get enough of these two! 🔥

Audiobook notes: First of all CJ Bloom has quickly climbed the ranks as one of my favorite female narrators. Her voice is so soothing to me, while also being able to portray so much emotion. Now, I am by no means an expert in Italian, but Dane Anderson’s Italian/Italian accent sounded fabulous to me. His voice definitely added to Raffa’s swooniness.

Never expected to read a romance with a pro wrestler, but if Elsie writes it, I know I’m going to love it! 🥰

These two were definitely an intriguing set of characters introduced previously in this series, and I was so excited to finally figure out what was going on with them!

Marriage of convenience is always a favorite of mine, and I loved that story line, as well as the sloooow burn we got.

Elsie always writes great fictional kids, and little Milo was so precious and sweet, and I loved how much these two loved him and wanted to do whatever was best for him.

This one really got me in the feels, and I definitely found myself wiping away tears at the end, especially in those epilogues. 🥹

This series has been so, so good, and I am very excited for the next book after the tease that we got. (Audiobook listeners! There’s a sneak peak in the ebook version, if you’re interested! 👀)

I think it would be hard to pick a favorite book from this series, because I’ve really loved them all, but as this is the most recent one I’ve read, I’m going to go with this one! 🤣

Crabby Mountain Man Recluse, young woman just starting to figure out what she wants out of life, so much tension because “they can’t” go there, and…rescue animals! All the building blocks for a romance story I’m just destined to love!

The chemistry between these two was 🥵 from chapter 1, but there were definitely obstacles in their way (their age gap being a big factor…).

The tension just built and built, and the pay off was definitely 🔥! 😮‍💨

The third act breakup was probably one of the most realistic and justified I’ve read, and lead to one of the swooniest endings I can remember. 🥰

Audiobook notes: Sebastian York and CJ Bloom did a wonderful job with these characters! Definitely two narrators who always do a great job.

While reading 𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘌𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 (book 1 in this series), I instantly fell in love with Raven. She was so bright and cheerful and full of spunk, and when I learned she had a crush on her older brother’s best friend, I just knew I was going to love her story, and oh was I right! 🥰

First of all, getting her back story was so heartbreaking, but also beautiful to see how it shaped who she became. And how that backstory melded with Otto was so sweet; they both had me tearing up.

These two were so gone for each, with so much mutual pining, and I loved the tension between them, even when Otto was fighting so hard against it.

The suspense portion of the story was again so well done, with so many twists and turns most if which I didn’t see coming.

This series has been absolutely amazing so far, and I can’t wait to continue on! (And after all these cameos we keep getting, I’m also looking forward checking out the previous series set in this world, 𝘙𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘏𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴, while we wait for book 3!)

Audiobook notes: Desirée Ketchum and Connor Crais are definitely favorite narrators of mine and were as fantastic as always; great audiobook!

Whew! What a turn this series took from my (albeit minor) criticisms of the last two books being a little bit misogynistic and slut-shamey (specifically against females), and it’s all due to Dean, the biggest playboy of the team!

Allie has just broken up with her boyfriend, and in an attempt to keep herself from taking him back, she goes to hide out at her best friend’s boyfriend’s house, but the only other person there is Dean, the hockey team’s biggest “manwhore”. They end up spending time together, getting drunk, and oops! One night stand/rebound, but it was also really good?

This book was definitely the most sex positive of the bunch. Dean is so outwardly confident with his sexuality, and Allie isn’t too bad herself (…well, on a one-on-one basis anyway. 😂)

Their chemistry was hot from the start, but their feelings for each other were definitely more of a slow burn, which I loved.

The last section of the book definitely took a serious and emotional turn, and definitely got me a little teary eyed.

I also loved the teases for the 4th and final (full) book of the series, and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how Elle Kennedy handles that plot line!

A new favorite romantasy series

Whew what a finale! I mean, I had some theories, and some guesses as to what would happen, but I still found myself gasping at some of the reveals, and there were some real tears shed during that final climactic scene! 😢

So many found family moments, with some amazing side characters I have grown quite close to.

And at the center of the story, a lovely couple to root for, who really brought the heat to this final book…🥵

And I am now more excited than ever to jump into 𝘐𝘳𝘰𝘯 & 𝘌𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴, because not only do I foresee some hot sparks between this new couple, there were some definite *implications* at the end of this first series…

Overall, another series to add to my list of favorite Romantasys. Probably right up there near 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 (my all time favorite! 🥰)

You, guys this series is just so good! And each book gets better and better.

Amazing MCs. Side characters to love. Action, high stakes, angst, emotion, and some really fun world building and fantasy elements.

I am in DEEP now. The climax of this one was built up so much, and I loved seeing it unfold. And the ending sets us up perfectly for the final book in this arc, and gave me that giddy, “here we go!” feeling I love going into a “last book.”

So…onto the last!
